My complaint letter to Budget Rent a Car

Good point, but perhaps that should be made more clear. To me, it sounded like she was just complaining about the additional charge (any additional charge).

My complaint had more to do with the fact that it was not explained to me what the charges would be. I expected a charge but not for it to be so high. The correct question would have been, "Are you interested in our fuel purchase option at an additional $100.00 charge?" I would have said - No thanks. Fact is it cost me $15.00 to refill the car at $2.75 per gallon.

Not to mention with being a RapidRez customers there are added benefits and I assumed (perhaps naively) that it was one of the perks.

In truth the complaint is the fact that their employee is not efficient. I sell mortgages for a living - and there are lots and lots of charges and legal speak I have to go through to make sure the client is understanding what they are purchasing. My average sales call is 30 minutes - with RapidRez I had already pre-filled out the form. My expectations were to walk up to the counter, show my ID and rapidrez car and walk away with keys. Not to be offered the wrong car, sold a product with no price quote, wait for them to fix their mistakes, and then having to deal with the issue of the safety of their toddler seat.
