MCR is doing an offer where, for 3 MCR points, you get a code for a free 4x6 print from DisneyPhotoPass. This sounded great, so I signed up for it, but it turned out to be not as cool as it seemed.

Unfortunately, you can't use the code for photos taken by DPP photographers. You can only use it for a picture that you upload to the site. I uploaded one of the DPP photos that I'd gotten on my Wild Africa Trek CD to get around that limitation. Then, I ran into the second downside...the "2011" border that I'd wanted wasn't available in that mode. I could add WDW borders, but they weren't as good as the usual DPP borders. Finally, I decided to just get the photo, and the shipping was $3.25 for my "free" 19 cent photo. So, I'm just leaving it in my account and waiting until I have some other DPP purchases to make that will give me free shipping.

In other news, they're offering 1500 MCRs for a $15 Disney gift card. It's not as good of a value as other MCR rewards, but if you aren't interested in the things like AMC tickets and such, it might be a fun way to get a little extra Disney money.

But, I mainly just wanted to give y'all a heads up that the DPP offer on MCR is not as good as it initially seems.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering what the deal was like. My dh has over 6,000 points so we were going to order 4 of the dining cards. Unfortunately, you can only order one and then it says you've maxed out your reward. I was bummed, but hey...I still have $15 worth of free dining for my trip this summer :)

I had about 1200 coke points and just couldn't find anything I wanted to cash them in on. Today I logged in and my balance was 0 :sad1: I haven't been on the computer much the past month due to some surgery....I apparently missed a notice that my points would expire if I didn't do something. :guilty:

Just send them an e mail explaining that you haven't been on your computer in awhile and they should give you back your points!:thumbsup2 it worked for me!

I signed up for it with the monopoly codes, before I started passing them out to users on here. I decided to rack it up to 120 points for a case of coke. When I finally remembered to print out the coupon, they doubled it to 240 points, eventually my points expired. I really don't find it all that great, and just a worse incentive to drink more soda, which I shouldn't be doing anyways.

Well I did this too, before checking it out closer. I had recent photos downloaded, but when I saw I was only saving $.19, I skipped it. Not much of a deal.

Thanks - I'll have to do that. We are actually Pepsi drinkers - so it took quite awhile to accumulate that many Coke points.....maybe I won't tell them "that" though! ;) :rotfl:

I almost fell out of my chair last time I was on MCR and saw the $15 gift card for 1500 points. September 2008 I got a Royal Caribbean wine package (5 bottles of wine and gratutity included) for 1580 points. That package was worth about $125 if I ordered it from the cruise line. Before that I got $25 virtual Simon mall Visa gift cards for 625 points. :scared1:

I got lucky in that my mother in law works at a grocery store that doesn't care if she has the coke codes from the cases they fill their machines with so she saves them for me (we only drink the generic sodas to save $) and I cashed out on a $15 disney gift card the other day :)

I think it's silly that you can only enter in 120 points a week. I sent them a message on their facebook page telling them they should have a day that you can enter in unlimited amounts of codes :) That would definately clear up the baskets of flaps lying around lol.
