MCR is doing an offer where, for 3 MCR points, you get a code for a free 4x6 print from DisneyPhotoPass. This sounded great, so I signed up for it, but it turned out to be not as cool as it seemed.
Unfortunately, you can't use the code for photos taken by DPP photographers. You can only use it for a picture that you upload to the site. I uploaded one of the DPP photos that I'd gotten on my Wild Africa Trek CD to get around that limitation. Then, I ran into the second downside...the "2011" border that I'd wanted wasn't available in that mode. I could add WDW borders, but they weren't as good as the usual DPP borders. Finally, I decided to just get the photo, and the shipping was $3.25 for my "free" 19 cent photo. So, I'm just leaving it in my account and waiting until I have some other DPP purchases to make that will give me free shipping.
In other news, they're offering 1500 MCRs for a $15 Disney gift card. It's not as good of a value as other MCR rewards, but if you aren't interested in the things like AMC tickets and such, it might be a fun way to get a little extra Disney money.
But, I mainly just wanted to give y'all a heads up that the DPP offer on MCR is not as good as it initially seems.
