My co-worker is a fountain of misinformation!! 5/14 the day has come page 130

Ask her this winter what her thermostat is then. I bet she's one of those who keeps it at 75 when the snow is blowing.

Sadly, I too have this in common with Miss I! Due to crappy 25 yr old windows, the temperature upstairs is 10 degrees higher than the main floor (and about 15 higher than basement). So, we keep ours on 72 all year round-- in reality, the bedrooms are more like 82. Blech! It is so hard to sleep when it's hot!

I keep ours at 70 degrees all of the time. That lovely hot flash/night sweat thing has been apart of my life for 10 years. My DH doesn't mind and my DD wears pjs with long sleeve t shirts in the summer.

Uh-oh, I have something in common with MI. My thermostat is set at 68 day and night. We like it cold in our house, and luckily our electric is cheap here. My DH is not above putting it on 66 before bed. That is too cold for me. In the winter, he cranks the heat. I don't understand this. Men.

Cold is in the eye of the beholder. :hippie: I can't sleep when I'm hot. I want a cold room so I can sleep well. Oh, and my ceiling fan is on, too. Gotta keep that cold air circulating.

Same here, and DH loves being Cold....even in Winter!:confused3

It's pretty hot here in Chicago today, and will be for the rest of the week. :beach: Anyway, Miss Info is talking to our department head and the conversation turns what you put the thermostat on for your air conditioning at home. She tells him that she leaves it at 72º during the day and turns it down to 68º when she goes to bed!! It's got to be like a meat locker in her house! Either that or her air conditioner needs to be fixed big time

Wow, I actually think 72 is warm! I have mine set at 62!!! I couldn't sleep if it was in the 70's-to warm for me! Even in the winter I have the heat set at 64!

Well... I'm the oddball. Mine's set to 87 - sometimes up to 90; and I'm in Texas.

I can't afford a large electric bill. I use fans to help stay cool.

I have mine set at around 80 during the summer but at around 65 in winter. I like the heat, which probably is because my first ex-girlfriend likes it BRRRRRRRRR; because she's diabetic and asthmatic, she needs cold air circulating all the time. She likes to have the window wide open at night and a box fan running full-blast--in January. Ah, the cat days of winter. Unlike her, I don't like waking up feeling like a Popsicle.

I keep mine around 75 year round. In the summer I will put it at 77 until I just can't stand it, and in the winter I'll go down to 72 - hey when it's 3 outside, 72 feels nice and toasty! At night it's at 82 in the summer, 68 in the winter. We use ceiling fans and blankets. No need to heat/cool the whole house when we are asleep, it's just a waste of money. Oh, and I have the programmable thermostat so it goes up (summer) or down (winter) by about 15 degrees while I'm at work, and kicks back on an hour before I get home. My electric bill has never been over $50, and we are still comfortable in our own home.

My mom is a nutball though, she keeps hers at 88 in the summer - not refreshing at all! Sometimes it's hotter in her house than it is outside. In the winter, she puts it down to 65. Yeah. I'm so glad I don't live there anymore. When we lived in Ft. Lauderdale and I was a teen, we were not allowed to set the thermostat below 86, she thought that was too COLD!

OMG!! I may have to go home. :lmao:

She has the hiccups. But wait it gets better, she hiccups and then belches. and NO she doesn't keep her mouth closed. I feel like I'm sitting next to Barney Gumble.

Have a lovely day everyone!!

Okay, I've been lurking for awhile but this requires a response.

:scared: EEEEEEEWWWWWWWWW!!!:scared1:

Does this count as a hostile work environment?? Can't you sue the company for hiring this nut job?:confused3 :lmao:

Tell her to hold her breath until she's dead. The hiccups will go away then. :scared: OK, my sick sense of humor is showing today.

Hell no she gets enough time off. The plan is for ME to have to go home.

You should get hazard pay for working with this woman!!!!

That is so grosssssss! I would turn up the radio really loud to try and cover up her noises.

Is she at least trying to get rid of her belch-ups? Like drinking water or holding her breath? That is so nasty!
