Just booked ADRs for an August trip with my wife and 2 children (6 and 3). We are travelling from the UK and are staying offsite for 6 nights before 10 in the beach club. Very excited and have been lucky enough to come every 2 years so have experienced a fair few of the restaurants already as we always do long trips (no point coming for a short trip. On the DDP

T- Rex - when are staying offsite as the 3 year old is obsessed with Dinos.

When on site
Beaches and cream (traditional we always go even though not a fan of the food particularly)
Hollywood and Vine Breakfast (never been)
Via Napoli (kids love pizza)
Skipper Canteen (new to us)
Jiko ( love this place)
Be Our Guest (reservations for breakfast and lunch but not a great fan so may cancel)
Trattoria Al Forno (Been once before and love the boardwalk in the evening
Teppan Edo
La Hacienda
Mama Melrose (Only booked in case we decide to dine at HS so will probably cancel)
Ohana (never been so very excited about this one)
Yak & Yeti (we've never been here purely as never been at AK to have proper meal)

We like good food ideally near the hotel as have young children. May squeeze in ESPN as always wanted to go and never made it. We love LTT but can't see the kids enjoying it unfortunately with what they like to eat

Loved Skipper Canteen this past week!

I’ve been to nearly every one on your list (except Skipper Canteen). Great choices and convenient to your resort.

We enjoyed the food, service is a bit slow
You mentioned ESPN, we like it too

Very good choices, although I might pick a different spot if you dine in HS. Maybe SciFi? Great theming there

If using the Dining Plan, your selections look to be quite comprehensive.

In no particular order, my thoughts:

If you are not particularly fond of Beaches & Cream, while certainly convenient to Beach Club, you might consider another place that has similarly lousy food, but with unmatched theming - Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater inside Hollywood Studios. The room is simply impressive and may even provide a positive distraction for your young children.

While not a part of Disney Dining Plan (DDP), the Dolphin is close to Beach Club and has similar sandwich & ice cream menu to Beaches'n'Cream if you want to treat your children. Of course, there are stops along the Boardwalk for sweet treats. And if you were not using the DDP, I'd suggest Swan & Dolphin Signatures, but that's not going to work with DDP.

Regarding Be Our Guest - unless you gain the benefit of pre-Park opening, your own apprehension seems to suggest maybe going to Cape May for Character breakfast for at least one meal (then you can drop the Hollywood & Vine and replace with Sci-Fi).

If you are sports fans, ESPN on Boardwalk serves better than average (American) Pub-Grub, and the endless loop of televised sports may be another welcome diversion for your children. No reservations required. And there are no high-profile sporting events during summer that would make the place sell-out (as it were).

If you enjoy the 'exotic' (curry) of Jiko, Skipper Canteen should meet your needs inside MK. The menu touches on the continents represented through the Jungle Cruise ride - Asia, Africa, & South America. My wife very much enjoyed her curry vegetarian dish, but not all the foods are as well-seasoned. Based on your description, this should work well for your family.

Two days in Epcot with young children? You may consider switching one of those with a journey to Disney Springs. And maybe consider Coral Reef if you really want to visit Epcot twice.

Great choices! We have been to Beaches & Cream and we all loved it and walked out of there with a food coma lol but they have the best burgers I have ever had in WDW! The No Way Jose sundae was amazing! Via Napoli is one of my favorite restaurants in World Showcase - I love the pizza and the Zeppole di Caterina dessert is my favorite! Teppan Edo is another good one - the Asakusa (steak & shrimp combo) is my favorite meal there. Not sure if you are doing breakfast or dinner at Ohana but both are great! Yak & Yeti is another one of my favorite in park restaurants, even though my favorite entree is no longer on the menu. I would go there for the fried wonton dessert alone and be happy.

Enjoy!

thanks for all the feedback. may look at switching beaches and cream for the one at the swan and dolphin! have heard good things!

good point re epcot. previously with young children (nov and feb) we would do a.day in the park and just go for dinner in the world showcase but not sure how well that will fit with august weather and the dash to get out of the sun early afternoon! bit selfishly i just love the qorldshowcase as there isnt a huge amount for younger kids.

will be dinner at ohana. very excited and not sure why not tried to go before.or the yak and yeti!

genuinelly gutted not to do liberty tree tavern!

yeah be our guest may keep to get into the park early. dont get me wrobg for a cs it was ok but hated the queing etc

With young children you may want to consider The Coral Reef the giant fish tank should amuse them. I also think Crystal palace for breakfast (Winnie the Pooh)
should also be considered.

You will have a great time, perfect age for kids!
