My children made something for characters, will they accept it?

I had bought the girls each an Easter egg made to decorate from Target. After they decorated it one said she made it for Minnie and Mickey and the other said it was for Belle (we go to WDW in April). They even wrote to and from on the eggs. They want to give it to them at Disney. The one for Minnie and Mickey we could give at Chef Mickey. For the other Belle won't be at BOG. Maybe see Belle at the cottage? Will the characters accept these? Will they let us in the park with them? Creative girls. I didn't think about them making them to take to Disney :) image.jpg

I don't *KNOW* but I suspect they are not permitted to accept gifts. Maybe a CM will respond????

DD has given pictures (that she painted with glitter glue) to the princesses and the fairies. They were all accepted joyfully. Silvermist put her picture on the mantle type area back in ToonTown. Generally they give the presents to their CM handlers for 'safekeeping' not sure what happened to them after that (DD was just happy to give the pictures to them)

A girl in front of us to meet Tinkerbell at MK gave her a necklace and she accepted and made a big deal of it. After the girl left she took it off and set it on a shelf out of the photo area. I would think it's harder at a character meal because they are just going table to table and don't really have anywhere to put extra things, but it definitely wasn't a problem at a stationary meet and greet.

I have seen the characters accept gifts from many guests. Japanese guests often bring gifts for the characters. The character handler usually takes the gift and holds on to it for a bit. If it will bother your children to see it handed to them it may be best to not give them the gift. The will usually hold it for a photo or such but your kids may see it being given to the handler for safekeeping. I have seen this at character meals as well.

my niece gave pooh a honey bear full of honey at CP. Pooh gave to his handler for safe keeping until pooh had a honey break.

Sweet but like said at a character breakfast it might not be the best option

They have handlers at the character meals too so maybe they would hold it for them until they can take it to the back? Hopefully, all of the kids don't start doing this though. I'm just picturing the characters and handlers trying to juggle tons of gifts. ;)

Those eggs are cute by the way.

My daughter made Anna and Elsa a card and they were so excited as well to read it. They put it off to the side after pictures.

We have seen gifts at character meals. Every time we dine at Tusker House for breakfast there is at least one Japanese guest with a gift for the characters. The handlers just take them and walk around with them for awhile.

I've seen characters accept gifts happily and have given them gifts myself (yes, as an adult :rolleyes1) and they were happy to accept. I think it's no problem if it's hand made.

My daughter drew pictures for EVERY Princess she met. Every one of them accepted and made a big deal over it. At Akershus, Belle actually had my daughter sign HER autograph book "you're going to be a famous artist one day. I just know it!"
