Well, I'm back now, after driving all the way home on Saturday. I wasn't sure if I could do it or not, but I guess I got a second wind around Mobile, and made the rest of the way safely home!
Just like anyone else, I'm having post-Disney vacation depression, but I have lots of things to catch up on.
My luau went over so well, and we all had a blast! We put up all the decorations, and lots of people stopped by while going through our loop to ask if we were having a party or if it was someone's birthday. My mom thought that was so funny. I guess we were the only one in the loop with any decorations up of any kind.
We cooked on the grill and had skewered meat with pineapple chunks and onions and bell peppers in between (maybe not true to 'Ohana, but oh well), and cooked the potstickers also. A large bag with about 60 potstickers was around $9 at Costco. BTW, the Costco over off of Orange Blossom Trail is very nice and has the best "Very Berry" sundaes! Yum!!!
We decided to have the kitchen sink-like dessert, so we filled up a large bowl with ice cream, and covered it with chocolate sauce, Reece pieces topping and whipped cream. Everyone wore a lei at the party, including our Pal Mickey! I left the CD player at home,

so we didn't get to have our background music. And I even had the Lilo and Stitch soundtrack with me! Oh well, I guess I'll have to try again next time.
The weather was okay, and our deck was pretty shady by the time we had dinner. It was really a lot of fun, and I think I'd like to do it again. I still want to try out 'Ohana, though. Maybe sometime on another trip it will work out.
We made the treasure cake for our pirate night dinner, and Mom used some candy rocks to put around the cake. They were so good, I kept eating the rocks, and Mom was having to keep me away. I've never had those before. My grandson was convinced that just any rocks would taste like that and we really had to keep an eye on him!
We had such a fun time at our cabin, and I really miss being there. I hope everyone else has as much fun as we did. I'm trying to talk my husband into going back in December before Christmas. I still have my annual pass, you know!
