We went to Disney in February and planned on going back in January. My son's dance schedule changed, so we couldn't go then. My work schedule is crazy in the Fall, but my boss helped me figure it out. We are going in late October for 9 days!

We bought APs on sale for the last trip, used points for SSR, used air miles for the trip down, and got a cheap flight back on Spirit. All in all, $416.56 for air! We will use wegoshop and only buy lunch in the parks. This might be the least expensive trip for a family of four.

How exciting and inexpensive! I love it to hear that I am not the only one who only eats lunch in the parks. It is such a money saver!

Since I work at night, this is one of the few times we all sit together and eat. At home I cook during the day and DH and the kids eat when they get home. It is too expensive to eat out every meal, plus it starts to make us sick after a few days.

So I told my MIL about the airfare sale. I booked a two bedroom, so she bought her tickets today. She is going to come down the last five days with us.

:thumbsup2 for getting a vacation in there, AND for doing it all under $500!

we can relate - here are the dollar amounts for DD & my Spring, then DH & my Autumn vacations (each 11-12 days):
- SWA - used RR points accumulated on CC (dropped/picked up by DD or DH so no airport parking or limo fees). $2.50 fee per flight, $10 total
- stayed/staying at BWVs using DVC points
- all have PAPs from last years DVC promo
- we buy groceries and eat out only occasionally (mostly off-site - LOVE flippers!), but also eat at home :) so no real difference

our one big expense is a rental car (we prefer using DME, and rent at the Dolphin rather than airport for 9-12 days of our vacation). lately, we have paid $150-200.

now you have me thinking: for under $200, i should really book at least a third 2013 trip ;)

OCT is a great time of year to go - have a fabulous time!!:cool1:

I spent $1400 for a week at Bc in 1 bdrm,(incl cost of MF), tixs and food for 4 adults this past spring.....awesome

We always eat a big lunch in parks then get CS for dinner or better yet cook in the room. Since we are a hop skip and a jump from the parks its not that much of a hassle....and I love that it cost $20 for dinner instead of $160.... Sorry but we could go out 3 times at home for that price....

That's why I love DVC! I have choices now.....I can go Deluxe without it costing me an arm and leg and save my money for the special restaurants I love,!

Have a great trip......October is a nice month down here in Florida, the weather is really nice.
