I will keep you in my prayers also! I hope the news about your rash is something minor and treatable easily!
After my Mom had her radiation therapy she got a huge rash and it did clear up on its own but took quite some time to do so.
Thank you so much for your prayers and thoughts! I will be looking forward to more of your planning and hearing about your doctor appointments!!

I finally found a car to rent. We are going with Dollar. I am booking a compact, but have a coupon for an upgrade to mid size. I hope when we get there that they have a mid size available. I must have spent two hours comparing rental car places and putting in codes. The taxes are ridiculous. Now am just waiting for the Dollar Express application to go through and give me the member number. I can't believe I will be in Florida in less than 2 months.

Biopsies were negative. No skin mets. Now I get to add a dermatologist to my list of many doctors. Relay for Life is next week and I am going to do the Survivor Lap.

I was thinking of just using the car for the Universal part of my trip, returning it to the airport and taking the Magical Express. My husband just wants his own wheels. It's his trip too, so I will go with what he wants. I plan everything else. Our last trip was in 96 and we stayed at Fort Wilderness. We drove down there for that trip so we had our car. I think we used it to go to the grocery stores and at night to Downtown Disney. Most of the time we used Disney transportation. CSR is big so maybe it's good to have a car there too.

When is your trip? Please don't forget to let us know how your mother is. Tell her I at least got a Disney trip out of the deal.

Thanks for your prayers! We leave August 1. Mom's surgery is tomorrow, but she doesn't see the oncologist again until July 18. I don't know if they will tell her what her follow-up treatment will be before then or not. I am nervous about her starting treatment so close to our trip, so I have been working on my exit strategy in case I have to leave WDW quickly.

We've never rented a car before, but we're staying at SSR and it is kind of remote. Might be nice to have a car. We'll see what the rental rates do.

Glad you found a rental car. We are here in Florida now and used Alamo and asked for a full size. We got a Chevy Malibu, nice car but not a full size in my book. It said on the website it would be a Grand Prix. Now a Chevy Lumina (not sure if they make them anymore) would have been comparable or Impala. Will be sending Alamo an email when we get home.

But I am glad to hear you got one more bit of planning done.

Thanks, I saw the dermatologist today. The first one wanted to do another biopsy. The second one gave me ointment and it is probably "radiation dermatitis". If it doesn't clear up then a biopsy will be repeated.

When we were in Washington State they gave us a small car and told us it was a mid-size. I was upset. It turned out ok because the car they gave us was all wheel drive. The weather got nasty and I was glad to have the car. Let us know what happens after you send the letter. I don't like being deceived.

I hope you had a good time on your trip. Any have success with house hunting and house selling?

OT- My oldest son is home with his wife and kids for his R&R from Iraq. They are planning on visiting Sea World in San Antonio while he is home.

Yes, we found a home, haven't sold the old one yet and the new one is way more than I meant to purchase, but it's the one.

My "Celebration Vacation" is getting closer. Today I was reading a pre-trip report and saw that someone was buying shirts that are "wicking". I looked on-line to see what they were. Now I am thinking it might be nice to have a couple of those types of shirts to wear on the days that we do the water rides. Does anyone have experience wearing those shirts? Maybe I should call my son who is on leave from Iraq. I think they wear those in the desert heat. I am also wondering what all you do about the water rides. I love water rides but I don't think I want to walk around all day with wet shoes and socks. So you wear water shoes or hiking sandals? Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

I bought a digital camera a few years ago. For me it was a big investment. It took really great pictures. One day I put it in my purse and the flash jammed on it. It wouldn't pop up when I hit the button. Well... tonight I got brave. I took a knife and slid it under the flash door, pressed the button and the flash popped up. I am so happy. Now I don't have to buy a new camera.

We had our first really hot an humid day today. I felt like I was in Disney training.

My endurance is getting better. I work on my garden last week for hours and did fine. I paced my self but I accomplished a lot. I saw my breast cancer surgeon this week. She is really happy that my skin biopsies were clear. I am too! Just another reason to do the happy dance.

Thanks everyone for reading. I am now going to read everyone else's pre-trip and trip reports. I am just getting so excited about this vacation.

Yesterday DH and I went shopping for Florida. We bought new shoes. I needed new walking shoes. I also wanted to get us shoes that we could get wet on the water rides. We are going to Islands of Adventure, they have lots of water rides. So here is what we got. Mine are Nike and his are Teva.

I found some shirts at Sports Authority that are supposed to be "wicking" for DH. They were 3/$20.00. If they work that would be nice. If not, he needed new t-shirts anyway.

When are you moving? I started to read your TR. Last night I was all ready to read everyone's TR + pre-trip reports and Dis. boards was down. I 'll try again tonight. Now I have to cook dinner.
