My cat just passed away

[color=3300ff]I am so very sorry. I can sympathize. We had to put our kitty down just this past Monday. He was 16. He stopped eating and we didn't want him to suffer with starving to death so we just put him to sleep.
It's nice that your kitty went so peacefully in her sleep. It's weird to think of going through a normal day without them isn't it?[/color]

I'm so sorry for your loss.

About 3 years ago, I lost the cat I had since I was 4 years old. She was 20 years old. I wear her picture around my neck in a locket. She was around my neck when I graduated from law school and when I got married in Disney World and when I took the Bar Exam and when I got sworn in and when I went to court for the first time. People laugh when they ask what I have in my locket and I show them my cat, but it helps me and, like a rabbit's foot or horseshoe, brings me luck and strength.

I have three young ones now. I think part of me is afraid to get too attached to get hurt again, but I'm starting to be able to open up to them. They deserve it and so do I.

It gets easier, but every now and then, it still hurts like it happened yesterday.

My deepest, deepest condolences. We have four cats and one dog. We had to put one dog down this past spring. Luckily the vet came to our home to put her down so it was very peaceful and she passed away in my arms. For that I am grateful.

Thankfully your furbaby had a peaceful passing as well.

You have a right to grieve, and cry, and grieve some more.

It's not easy to say goodbye. I think of my precious "Keisha" every day.

So sorry for the loss of your cat. My mom just put her cat down (13+ years and in failing health), and I bawled for my mom even though she got that cat after I left the house. Animals becaome as much a part of our lives as children!
