My car got hit in the student parking lot today.

I'm a Junior in high school

Today in the parking lot I got hit. I was parked within the lines perfectly. My car was off and I was getting all of my books together and about to get out of the car when I felt a BUMP in the back of my car.

I turn around and this white truck hit the back of me. She backs up, goes to 2 spaces over, parks, then gets out and looks at her damage.
She has none.
I get out and look at my car. It has A LOT. She was trying to get in the spot to the left of me and, obviously, did not succeed.
So, she asks if we want to exchange phone numbers and she will call me tonight to discuss this.


Oh, no, honey. So, I suggested the school Officer. We went there and got an exchange of information.
I took photos of everything from the damage, how I was parked, etc.

Now, I have a class with this girl, she is a year older than me. In the class today she was not there. After school her car was gone.

I just would like to inform teens and everyone that parking lot accidents are common.

My parents took care of it. We couldn't call because it is in a school parking lot. You would have to walk in.

The same thing happened to me when I was 16 at school. I was parked in my spot, and some girl backed up all funky and hit the back of my car. She went and reported it to the school officer and blamed it on ME. Thank goodness I had numerous witnesses that said she was in the wrong. My bumper was just scratched, and my car was an old clunker so we didn't report it to insurance. Her car was not damaged at all. I remember freaking out about the whole thing. It's a 2005 Honda Accord. My dad has some choice words to say about the girl.
All she said to me was "I suck at parking"
Uhm .. then do what I do and park 2 spots away from anyone.

Hey Hollywoodhaha! I'm sorry this happened to your cute little car. Really sucks!! I can relate as I have a new Kia Sportage and within a couple months someone keyed it all the way down the drivers side and then just a couple months later a big SUV was parked next to me at Wal-Mart and clipped my back corner when they backed out but did they leave a note? NO! So now my new care is stuck with a scratch and a dent. Oh well, watchca gonna do?

thankfully I have not had this happen to me or one of mine but wanted to share what happened to my neighbor's nephew. He was at school, leaving, going down the parking lot the correct way (not cutting through parking spots) and a person hit him. They do the exchange of information and all, think everything is cool. The other person's insurance said that the person who was doing the "right" thing was 20% at fault and they would not pay 20% of the bill. ??? Seriously. His dad is a body man at a shop and does jobs on the side and had never run into this. He has been fighting with them for a long time. I need to ask her what happened, most definitely one of the screwiest things I've heard in a long time.
