Had DD trimester conference last night.....she's in 2nd grade and reading at high 3rd grade level, is surpassing the required test criteria set by the district and doing great with her math, science and history lessons.

She needs to be more assertive during PE (hmm wonder where she gets that, I was the scrawny kid who was ALWAYS picked last during PE). Computer class is also something she struggles with, but is improving from last year.

Overall doing great, good student, friend to others and a great listener. Now if she could just do the listening thing at home :rotfl:

They will be doing a Thanksgiving play on the 21st, she is so excited about her Pilgrim part and especially because her Daddy will be home to see it (we get 7 whole days with him  ) I am going to make decorations with my cricut using My World. Her teacher goes all out with their "costumes" and the whole theme.

I'm so proud of my girl  just had to share my proud mommy moment!

Great job to DD!!!
Congrats on being about to see DH!!! Yeah!!! I guess we won't be seeing much of you around here, huh?

Yeah!!! Have fun!!!!! Can't wait to her about your visit w/ DH and how DD's play goes!!!!!

That's awesome! Congrats to her and to you guys! :cool1:

the last two times DH was home we went to DLR for the weekends so didn't have a lot of "private" time :rolleyes1 we both hope to make up for lost time:love: :yay:

Congrats on your DD achievements.

Need a babysitter, as in I take your little one to McD's or someplace with my crew to give you some alone in the house time?

Ok, I need to read slower I read make up for lost time as something completely different. I was like no.she.did.not!!!! LOL

Congrats to DD!!!! The best thing DH was ever taught was in the 1st grade, If you ever want to learn to do anything or be anyone all you need to do is know how to read. We have taught all the kids that.

Say Hey to Jim for us!!! Only 7 days huh?? Bummer, I'll help AWM babysit though if you want! ;)

Congrats to your daughter. And enjoy your time with your man!

Proud mommy moments are the best!:thumbsup2

 time with hubby shouldn't be too shabby either. :rolleyes1

thanks for the b-sit offers girls......I think my friend will be taking DD for a night and we will have time together while DD is at school Tues and Wed am. So I'm sure we can think of "something" to do with our time :rotfl: but DH will have some other chores to do around the house and help put xmas decorations up that weekend, so I better not wear him out too much

It will be nice to have him home since it will be 5 weeks since his last trip home. He will probably be in FL working until Feb, but on the bright side, he can just drive up from WPB to WDW in Jan when we go, so it will save on the airfare.

Where in FL will he be, just general area, no need to advertise the exact city.
There are DIS family here who might volunteer to cook your DH a meal for a weekend or two. And I have blood family who love to have weekend bbq who wouldn't mind if your DH stopped over.

Thanks for the offer, (he's in the WPB area)if he wasn't so busy I'm sure he would love a home cooked meal, that reminds me I'd better start planning my meals for next week. We do have some friends that we met when we live there at the beginning of "us", so he does get a meal or two from them.

If he's not working on the course, he's doing bids for jobs here in CA for our guys. six more days and my man is home
