My bi-annual rant of lack of Pluto clothing in Disney shops

I got back from the World last Sunday (I miss it already! ). Disney has gotten a little better in the Pluto clothing department. This time around, I saw three adult-sized Pluto tee-shirts. One was a light green tee with a white Pluto, the other was a bright yellow tee (No Pluto; It's actually Pluto's green dog collar and body) and the last was some tee I found in Animal Kingdom that said something like, "What's up, Dawg?" I bought the light green one but passed on the other two. DS spent some of his souvenir money on one of those Pluto hats. Cute.

But no sweatshirts. Come on Disney, PLEASE. Just one sweatshirt with Pluto on it. That's all I'm asking.

You can do a custom T at the Hanes Store in DTD. Although the quality is not that high, it is still doable. I am not sure if you can do sweats there, but it may be worth a look.

We ran into a lack of Villian wear a few years ago and made our own Dark Queen shirt. Thankfully this trip we found really nice Malificent and Dark Queen Shirts at Tren-D.

not sure how long that yellow one will last either, it's basically a costume tee. they produced them for pluto, goofy and sorcerer mickey. the respective baseball caps 'complete' the outfit

It really is frustrating when they don't seem to have anything from your favorite characters. I'd LOVE to see some Lady & Tramp shirts (especially SWEATshirts) at WDW.

I feel your pain. DD10 is a huge Pluto fan, and she was looking for a Pluto shirt or hat. The ones we found were not good choices for her. She ended up with a Pluto stuffed animal (because we need more of those ) and a pen.

My oldest DD is a huge Pluto fan, too. She settled for the Plute ears pirate hat.

Try being a Chip and Dale fan. Trust me, there's less merchandise of them than for Pluto.

I had heard that this was because, following the International Astronomical Union's downgrading of Pluto to a minor planet, the International Animational Union likewise downgraded Pluto to a minor character.

Pluto stuff is tough to find...we actually went to a Discount Disney store outside Disney and found a Shirt for my 10 year old son...shirt is red but it has pluto's head, an iron type, coming out the front of the head and his butt in the back of the shirt...it looks like Pluto just jumped thru you...pretty cool...He also bought the Pluto hat with the ears at Disney...he wore it everyday...his bed is covered with about 20 Pluto stuffed animals...he saved his allowance all year and used it to buy it all...

I was feeling the same way by the lack of Donald stuff. They had very few things, and none of it was in my size (adult 3x). Blah.

And don't even get me started about the lack of ANYTHING from Pinocchio!

I'm a big Pluto fan, too, and am always on the lookout for fun shirts and merchandise. I wish Disney World had more to offer along those lines. I was thrilled to find this awesome Pluto shirt at a thrift store for fifty cents. Pluto loved it.
