He was reading through some of the Monty Thoughts of the Day today and was concerned about the way I worded the whole Poppy the Poodle thing.

After re-reading some of the threads where I mentioned Poppy, I realize too, that I made it sound like he was the reason we did not get Poppy.

This is not true and I hope I did not give anyone the impression that he was a meanie!

It is probably best that we did not get Poppy. When it comes to cute homeless animals, he is the voice of reason when I am being unreasonable.

The truth is , we live in a small apartment and we already have Monty Dog. Monty Dog is a handful by himself. We both love dogs though and want to get another as soon as we can. It was not that he did not want to save Poppy. I hope no one thought that.

He really is the nicest guy. I just wanted to make sure no one got the impression that he was a doggie hating meanie when I said the reason we did not get Poppy was because he said no.

He DID say no. But he did had legitimate reasons for saying no that are best in the long run.

And now back to your regularly scheduled DISboards...

I emailed the pound and got no response. This was the end of last week. He was no longer on the available pets list. I HOPE it is because he got adopted.
