My Baby Girl Is Turning 13-Time For Another Mom/Daughter WDW Trip!!

Thanks for all of your good wishes everybody! It's been two days since I found out Lauren will be meeting the Jonas Brothers and I STILL haven't blabbed to her about it!

Now, as my good friends here on the DIS know - I FAIL miserably at keeping secrets from my child.:rolleyes1

But..........

My game plan for this is to NOT tell her until we get to the arena. I'm looking to get the most bang for my buck out of this, and I think waiting until we're there will be the most thrilling surprise for her. The concert is in Boston on Friday night, July 17th - the day before my birthday!:goodvibes My friend has told me we will be meeting them before the show - which starts at 8pm. I'm thinking we'll go into the city early, have a nice dinner at my favorite restaurant - Capital Grille (steak - YUM!) then head over to the BankNorth Garden. I'll either have to meet up with my friend's friend, who will take us in; or pick up some passes of some sort. I'll need to talk to the guy to see how he wants to do it. But I'd love to keep her totally clueless until we're actually in the building!

I'm sooooo going to enjoy this!:goodvibes

WOW Great well am pretty sure I am not the only that is going to tell you this but if you feel like telling her the surprise log in to Disboards and talk to us. We can help you keep this a secret too. Don't let her log on and see this though. :grouphug: I am so excited for you both it will be so much fun.

I think Lauren will just about faint when she knows what's going on!! Don't forget to have the camera ready!:woohoo:

Ya if you told her before diner she may not be able to eat! We need video of this event. :thumbsup2

That is great!! I told DD18 about it and she said, "aw...that's so sweet. I love when young fans get to meet them!!" Then she went on to tell me how hugging Joe was the best moment of her life blah blah blah...:rotfl:

Oh yeah....the new puppy's name is going to be Jonas for sure!!

I just may have to come on here if I get the urge to blab!:goodvibes But I really am determined this time!

I'm thinking of bringing TWO cameras - if one fails, I'll have backup!:thumbsup2

I worried about her being able to walk after I tell her!:rotfl:

YAY! Congrats on puppy Jonas! So cute!

And I secretly wouldn't mind getting a hug from Joe either!;) But, no -no. This is about Lauren!

You are SOOO BAD!! But what a cool mom you are! This will thrill Lauren to death!

I love, love, love the Capital Grille! I've only been to Boston once, but the Capital Grille was one of the highlights. (I'll have to tell you about the others! Like taking the subway to Harvard one cold December night and catching a free Kenny Loggins concert in Boston Common! I LOVE me some Boston!)

Eeek, that Lauren is one lucky girl!

(If I were her, I'd do this: :faint: )

Cool, I'm seeing the concert on your birthday! As a fellow July birthday-goer myself (July 30), kudos :)

My niece and s-i-l will be at the same concert! I saw my niece Sunday and she is soooooooo excited. And dinner at the Capital Grille...not too shabby!

Kudos to you too, fellow July birthday girl! What a great early birthday gift!:)

And Lauren just better keep it together until after the picture!

I LOVE Capital Grille! Now, that Lauren is older and developing an appreciation for good food, especially steak, I figure this is the perfect time to take her. It will make the night even more special!

Is this the first time your niece is seeing JB? They really do put on a very good show. Just tell your SIL to be prepared for ALOT of screaming!

Six days and I STILL haven't blabbed! I'm so proud of myself!:goodvibes

Honestly, it's going to get tougher once school is over and the concert starts to become her focus. Lauren is so busy with school activities right now, she's not even thinking about the summer. Once school lets out, I'm sure the excitement and anticipation will set in - and then I'll really need the willpower to keep my mouth shut! I'm very determined though - I will not blab; I will not blab; I will not blab........

Anyway I guess I should re-focus on finishing up this trip report. We just have our last night with a dinner at LeCellier and then our checkout day and one more trip into Epcot. I will try to get an update in sometime this weekend but it probably won't happen until Sunday. Lauren is performing in her school's production of GREASE this weekend and we have family from out of town staying with us. It will be a little crazy around here but I'll see what I can do!

Thanks for sticking with me everybody. Have a great weekend and I hope to check back in by Sunday!:flower3:

Tell Lauren we said to break a leg! BTW, our DD was in a talent show this past weekend and sang a Taylor Swift song. We were SO proud of her! A video is posted on DW's FB page.

May is finally here!

Have a great weekend!

Alan

Break a leg, Lauren!

What role is she playing? Grease is one of my favorites :)

That's so cool! Does she have a lead role? Good luck to her and break a leg!

I know she'll be watching JONAS tonight, right?

I loved all of your trip reports (especially the Jersey Shore references)! I wish your daughter luck with her school play.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL MY FELLOW DISMOMS!!!!

I hope you all have a lovely day and are shown the appreciation you truely deserve!

I'm still waiting for my children to wake up and make me breakfast so I may try to start the next installment. So sorry for the delay though. It's almost finished!

How did your DD do in the talent show? Sorry, I didn't get to see the video - what song did she sing?

And yay for MAY!!! One week from today is our DISmeet!

Break a leg, Lauren!

What role is she playing? Grease is one of my favorites :)

The play was a huge success! Lauren had so much fun and is now excited to try for a bigger role next year. This year, she was one of the angels in Beauty School Dropout; was also in the HandJive; We Go Together; and Summer Nights. We weren't allowed to take pictures - the drama teacher was such a poo about it! I did take a pic of Lauren and her friends after the show. I'll upload it to photobucket and post!

That's so cool! Does she have a lead role? Good luck to her and break a leg!

Hey stranger! Was wondering where you disappeared to! See my above comment to hear about her roles in GREASE. And she was upset about missing the premiere of JONAS - but is very grateful for the DVR. I have a feeling it's going to become full of all those JONAS episodes!;)

I loved all of your trip reports (especially the Jersey Shore references)! I wish your daughter luck with her school play.

Thanks for joining in! And Lauren had a blast in the play!

And I miss my Jersey shore!:cloud9:
