My Baby Girl Is Turning 13-Time For Another Mom/Daughter WDW Trip!!

Another lurker coming out of the shadows...I read your last TR and the PTR for this one. You and your daughters really know how to enjoy Disney. I think it's great that you're able to take Lauren by herself on occasion, it's good to have that one-on-one time with Mom. Looking forward to reading the rest.

Great update! Love your headbands-- and your sweatshirt!! You are the 2nd person to mention Casey's cheese fries to me today... I'm going to have to try them. That's right, I've never tried them. :scared:

Great ride mojo you have going on with minimal waiting time. Jungle Cruise at night is on my to-do list. It's supposed to be very different at night vs. day.

Glad Lauren was feeling better. :goodvibes

Cammie,

Great Trip Report so far. I have been a lurker on your other trip reports and followed you over here. It's great that you and Lauren can take these Mother/Daughter trips together. My daughter is almost 26 and married but we are going to be taking our 3rd Father/Daughter trip in June. I'm hope Lauren will remember these trips and still want to take them with you when she gets older too.:goodvibes

Glad you're on board for another report! Now - where's yours? I haven't missed the start yet, have I?

No, you haven't missed it. I've just been buried in school work and chores. :sad2: But I will soon upload the pictures and get that baby going! :cheer2:

Glad Lauren was feeling great and ready to rock!
Oh my gosh. I always pose like your picture on Aladdin! It's like, the best pose eva! :cutie:
Those cheese fries are SO good. :worship:
Can't wait for more! popcorn::

We flew over to Haunted Mansion, walked on; then headed back to BTMRR - time to use the FP!

Oh and here's a pic I will be repeating throughout the trip report; I'll call it the "Lauren Texting Picture of the Day". Here is the first day pic:
DSC04045.jpg

Wow - she has some tired looking eyes, doesn't she?

We then moved on to Cinderella's Carousel - something I don't think we've ridden since Lauren was 4 yrs. old!

We caught a viewing of Mickey's Philharmagic and then headed over to Toontown; rode Goofy's Barnstormer and then visited Minnie's house.

Lauren made herself comfortable:

While I searched for some snacks:

(I'm thinking Minnie isn't lactose intolerant!)

Finally found some popcorn:

Some more shots from Minnie's place:

Love this Christmas decoration:

And this print cracks me up!

After enjoying Minnie's house for a little while, we headed over to see Mickey and Minnie:

It was now 12:35 am and I was starting to doubt I could make it to 3am. I was feeling tired. But we pushed on - Pooh's ride was next:

You find characters hanging out all alone in corners:

And you get lovely serene shots of the castle and Main Street..........which will be continued in the next post!

Am I the only one here? Anyways, 5 TIMES! Lucky ducks! There was always at least a 30 minute standby whenever we checked! That's awesome! :woohoo:

I can understand why you were dragging. I always get pretty tired, and then we're like, "Oh, there's no line for this, let's just do it real quick." :rolleyes1

Looking forward to the serene shots! :lmao:

So it was 2:15 in the morning and we finally decided to head back to Saratoga Springs. I was very happy we lasted as long as we did! It's so fun to be in MK that late and it's even funnier (well to me at least) to hear all the CMs wish you a "good morning" as you're walking out!:goodvibes

I'll end this installment with the many, many pictures I took of the castle. I was surprised by how many I had - I just think it's so beautiful though. You can never have enough castle pix!

First, a few shots of Main Street from in front of the castle:

By the time we got to the bus stop, it was 2:30 am and luckily - there was a bus waiting! SCORE! We were back in our room and tucked into bed by 3 am! Aaaaah!:cloud9:

Next installment...............sleeping in; hair-braiding; and DTD!

What a great start and I think I counted 7 times on BTMRR:cool1:

I giggled at the pics of Casey's as I knew exactly where you would be eating at and what it would be. ;)

It sounds like the trip is already turning around!!:goodvibes

Hi there!

I'm joining in early this time. I love reading your PTR, it looks like you have the most wonderful time on your trips:goodvibes . I'm sorry Lauren wasn't feeling well, it's awful to be sick on vacation.

Can't wait to read more!:yay:

Thanks for reading - glad you got here early!:goodvibes Luckily Lauren bounced back pretty quickly and it never got any worse!

Another lurker coming out of the shadows...I read your last TR and the PTR for this one. You and your daughters really know how to enjoy Disney. Hi and welcome! :wave2: I so love these one on one trips too! Hope we can make it a yearly event!

Great update! Love your headbands-- and your sweatshirt!! You are the 2nd person to mention Casey's cheese fries to me today... I'm going to have to try them. That's right, I've never tried them. :scared:

I've had that sweatshirt for over 12 years now! A friend bought it back for me from her WDW honeymoon when I was 6 months pregnant with Lauren. It's so big but soooo comfortable! And - add those cheese fries to your must-try list! Sooo good!

Cammie,

That is so sweet you are still taking those special trips with your daughter. I read Lauren your comment and asked if she would still do that with me; she said ABSOLUTELY! (I'm going to get it in writing and hold her to it!)

No, you haven't missed it. I've just been buried in school work and chores. :sad2: But I will soon upload the pictures and get that baby going! :cheer2:

Glad Lauren was feeling great and ready to rock!

Ha!Ha! You make me laugh with your comment about the Aladdin pose! Lauren does it MUCH BETTER - as you'll see throughout the TR!

And that's exactly how we were at the end of the night - so exhausted but always doing just one more ride! How could we not?

Glad to see I at least haven't missed the start of your TR. Keep me posted!

Yes - in total, it was 7 times! And you know we hit it again our next time at MK - along with Casey's!;)

Great post as usual! Can't wait for hair braiding!

I feel like I'm posting too much.

No such thing. As long as you enjoy what you're reading, I certainly don't mind!:goodvibes

I just love your TR's, you guys really know how to enjoy everything there is. I'm glad your girl was feeling better. Great start!!!!:goodvibes

Great installment! I have a feeling I need to try those fries when I go :lmao:

We finished quickly; slid out the side door towards the Crystal Palace - where we encountered our first photopass photographer!

DSC04011.jpg

cool that you got a spectro float in the background! that looks like one of the first floats with the guys with the horns.

We made another quick stop into Haunted Mansion then it was on to Big Thunder Mountain - which we rode 5 TIMES IN A ROW! Seriously I was getting a headache but Lauren was loving it! After the second time, it was becoming quite humorous because the CMs were remembering us. They would see Lauren and act surprised - "Hey Happy Birthday Lauren! How are old you? Let me guess - 13?"

i love that they do stuff like this! we had a HILARIOUS CM at the osborne lights - you'll have to see what he did to luke when i get to that part.

What a fantastic Night at MK! I am a night owl so I can totally imagine having a late night at MK someday with my kids! (they are too little now... I have a while to wait). Glad that Lauren felt better after a nap... I think naps at WDW are extra refreshing!

i'm here too! Love the pictures. It's the closest I'll get to WDW for another 2 years but can't wait to hear more. Do you think the late check in had anything to do with the budget cuts they made last week? I read that they were going to change things up immediately. I'm hoping that this isn't a sign of what/how they've changed things to save money :(

Anyway can't wait to read more.

Oh, I hope not. 4pm is pretty late anyway - most hotels have 3pm.

Cammie! Looks like you had a great MK night! I'm glad Lauren was feeling better. I can't believe you rode BTMRR 7 times!:rotfl2: You really got to do alot of "walk-ons." I could never get Jim to stay out until 3am! If we're out until 11 it will be amazing!:goodvibes

I love BTMRR too. We rode it four times in a row in the rain once.
I've never eaten at Casey's. I guess I'll have to go get some cheese fries on my next trip.

Lovin the report so far!
