And the dr's don't know why. She has had some bouts with confusion and first they said Alzheimers and then they backed off from that diagnosis. Well, last Monday (while hospitalized) morning they called her dh and asked him to come (he lives an hour away) because she was "very confused" and by that afternoon she was unconcious and unresponsive. CT scans show nothing abnormal same with the MRI. They did and EEG yesterday but I don't know the results yet. She is 70 years old. To complicate things further, she has kidney disease and they were going to start dialysis in a month but they put a line in her neck Thursday so they could start it before then. It hasn't seemed to help. They put in a feeding tube yesterday.
I also have another Aunt who had surgery last Monday for cancer. She tolerated surgery very well and we are just waiting for the biopsy results. My 2 other Aunts both have health issues also.
It's been a hellish week for my family. All of my cousins are flocking home because we are afraid Aunt Esther is slipping away. She went to work one day last week and now she won't wake up and nobody can tell us why.
Any spare prayers or good thoughts would be appreciated.
