Our thoughts in red

All of your picks look great except for one. Mama Melrose is not something I'll try twice. It was okay, just not something I'd do again. Chef's is very good. The only complaint from my family was from 16yr old dd, who bluntly stated that the goat cheese on the cheese platter, "tasted like I just licked a goat". :rotfl2: We tease her to this day about that...lol. But my dh loved the lamb there.

Have a great time!

Here is what my personal opinions are:

Chefs Du France - yummy, great pick
Mama Melrose - haven't tried it b/c I see so many bad reviews but I may try it this year just to say I have done it
WCC - did and will never do again
Kona - have always done it, not this year though but it is excellent

Tusker House - we are trying it for the first time this year, hope its good;)
1900 Park Fare - we love it for both lunch and dinner
Boma - sorry I have not tried it

Sci-Fi - also have not tried it
Le Cellar - YUMMY!

One of our faves is Coral Reef and Ohana and Crystal Palace!

Hope this helps:banana:

I'll play!

Chef's Du France - Never been there, but heard good things
Mama Melrose - Not so great reviews, but will be trying next trip
Whispering Canyon - One of our favorites! BBQ sandwich & pasta are yummy....desserts are all really good too.
Kona - Really great, you can't go wrong here.

Tusker House-Breakfast - Never been
1900 Parkfare-Breakfast - Never been
Boma-breakfast - Great variety, can find something for everyone

Sci-Fi-lunch - I love this place, food is basic, but atmosphere is not to be missed. I really love the BLT soup...sounds weird, but its fab!
Le Cellier-lunch - Pretty good if you like steaks. Servers are usually pretty friendly. Definitely get the cheddar soup for an appie

Tusker House-Breakfast - REally good! Great character interaction!

Sci-Fi-lunch - tried this last month. Great lunch! We had veggie burger, cheeseburger w/bacon and fries, chili and kids pizza. Everything was good, especially the fries. Oh, and the shakes!
Le Cellier-lunch
- we want to try this next time too

I'll weigh in on the Tusker House breakfast.
It was great.
Food is very good, character interaction quite fun, the characters come individually to every table for autographs and pictures, then one will lead the kids on a dance around the room. Great time, well worth doing!

Chef's Du France- Loved it

Sci-Fi-lunch- Loved it bring a jacket it gets cold in there

I'll just comment on where we have been.

Kona Breakfast- Love it. Will be there at least 1 time each trip!!!:thumbsup2 We always love the Tonga Toast. I had macadamia nut pancakes this past time and they were awesome!
1900 Park Fair Breakfast- It was really good. They have a omelette station and a great variety including 4 cereal choices. I have some great video and reviews in my trip report. We will be going back here again & again.
Le Cellier- We ate here for dinner, but i think the lunch and dinner menu's are the same.... I had the filet (cooked med-rare), it was so tender and so good. The desserts we had were really good too!
We were at these 3 in March.

We might do Whispering Canyon on our next trip. There are love it and hate it reviews all over the DIS about it. We also had Tusker House booked and we were looking forward to it, but I had to change the ressie due to changing 2 park days. We will be trying it out next time as well (i hope!)

I think you have a good list. The only way to know if you will like someplace is by trying it yourself!!!!:goodvibes

Thanks for the tips and feedback.

Like I mentioned we are very excited, but I am doing all the planning and decision making so it's great to get some other thoughts on what I've picked.

I'll be sure to post when we get back on our experiences!!

Just 4 more sleeps!!!!!!:cheer2:

We waited over 30 minutes for our table; we were put in the back room with like only five tables (although this was no big deal to us, but there were like five tables that we could have sat at in the main dining room); our waitress was horrible--S L O W....... Took forever to get our drinks after we ordered them, another 15 minutes before she took our order, forever to get our food which was medicore to say the least--we had the skillet--I liked the beans a little bit and the potatos; the corn was terrible, the salad was awful, I don't eat cornbread and the pork was so-so; I never touched the ribs or chicken. DH ate the ribs and chicken and was sick the rest of the night. After being there for 1 hour and 40 minutes we finally got our check...we decided against dessert figuring it would take another 30 minutes to get it...and it took 15 minutes after we gave her our key card (we were on the dining plan) to get our receipt back. Just an overall horrible experience--we were there for over 2 hours. We saw nor heard any of the antics people talked about. Now, maybe the food is better if you order off the menu, but we just didn't like the skillet. We may try breakfast in a few years, but we won't be going back for lunch or dinner.
