I look out the window earlier and what do I see? I see my 7 year old son on the ROOF of my van lashing the dog's rope to the luggage rack.
Then he takes the dog rope and throws it over our clothesline (one end is attached to the house- it's one of those pulley lines) when it doesn't fall down he decides he will climb on top of his swingset to get it... I mean he is intending on walking the top of the thing like a balance beam!! I see this from our bathroom window and fly down the stairs...luckily he heeds my dh's warning and doesn't do it.
After he gets done doing that he walks by with another rope (this one has a hook on each end) and he's planning on rappeling (sp?)down his swing set. He is told this is NOT a good idea and the rope is taken. He finds ANOTHER one and manages to rip 2 belt loops on his descent.
He is out on the sunporch with dh and myself when he opens the screen and proceeds to throw one leg out the window... "What are you DOING??" he replies, "Oh I just wanna dangle one leg out of the window."
This ALL happened in about a 20 to 30 minute period!!
Anyone else got a kid like this? I'm about out of patience and nerves!!
