.....if there's a Lilo & Stitch ride in Disney. I hesitated slightly, but said yes... I thought he'd want to know more about it, but he didn't. I don't know what to do now. I've heard 2 things. The first being that the ride/show is terrible. Secondly, I've heard it's still pretty scary for young children. To give you an idea, we're worried that he will be too scared in pirates and the haunted mansion. He has a 4yr old brother too. Should I try to avoid the Stitch ride altogether? What do you think? I've never been on this ride either so I can't use my own judgement. Thanks!

It is a sit-down attraction, and gets dark with loud noises. I would try the Pirates first, and see how it goes. People here dislike it because they feel it is lame, and tamed down from "Alien Encounter". They feel Disney commercialized it to appeal to the popularity of Lilo and Stitch. However, there is no Lilo, just Stitch. Parts are cute, once, but you do get held down by over-the-shoulder bars, and there are smells and water flying. Thats about all I can say.

My DD 6 rode Stitch in June. It did not terrify her or really scare her but she was not thrilled with the ride at all. It is very dark, so if your DN has problems with the dark it could definently scare him. Also, you are really straped into your seat so it would be hard to comfort a child if they did get scared are to even know how they were handling the ride unless they were screaming (as many young children do). If he really wants to ride it you might want to explain to him that this is the evil stitch before he meet Lilo (Lilo is not in any part of the ride) and that it is very dark and loud in part of the ride. You might want to try Pirates and then HM first and if he does not like either one of those it would probably be to intense for him. And you never know with kids, my dd has loved HM since she was three and we only rode it once this past trip and she did not want to ride again, she said it scared her. Of course it may have been because the ride stoped with us on it right at the dining room scene for about 5 minutes. She may have been afraid there was some really haunting go on or we were going to be stuck there forever. :)
