Just got off of the phone talking to my parents. I cannot tell you how comforting that was for me. Even at 43 years old - I still need my parents so.
Anyway, my mom and dad are staying at my brother and SIL's home and taking care of my little neice. They all went to the hospital this afternoon after Bryan had been moved into IICU. They told me that he looked "pathetic with all of the tubes in him," but when he woke up my dad said that he was" just like the regular Bryan - just not as rambunctious."

He was very thirsty and was allowed to have apple juice, ice chips and a popcicle.
My parents talked to Michael about 8:30 or so and he told them that Bryan was being moved into a regular private room. YEAH!

Also, it seems that they are not altogether sure that it is meningitis - but have pretty much ruled out one of them. I don't recall which. Mike told my parents the doctors told him that there is a 70% chance that they may NEVER know exactly what has made Bryan so sick. They have also mentioned Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and Kawasaki Disease as other possibilities. It is so frustrating that at even a first class facility that so many questions remain. But I guess that is the way that it with medicine.
Again, I thank you all for everything that you have done for Bryan and my family. I don't know if we can really say that we have weathered this storm yet, but at least each time I am hearing information it is somewhat better news.
I will continue to keep you all informed.
{{{HUGS}}} to you all. (And I can't tell you how much I wish that I could do that in person with ALL of you!
