November 24th, 2006

Our vacation started different then all the other cruises we had taken before. We had to now lug a diaper bag, toy bag and stroller and fit a car seat into the Limo that came to pick us up. Arriving at the airport we were a sight!!! I had the stroller with DS in it, diaper bag and toy bag and poor DH rolled 4 suitcases through Newark airport. Well we were at the airport and DH and I were so worried that DS was going to scream or cry for the 2 ½ plane ride. Well as usually DS made me worry for nothing. He smiling and laughing the whole 2 ½ hour plane ride. We arrived at MCO (Orlando Airport) late afternoon and checked into the MCO Hyatt. We ate dinner at the Chili’s in the airport which was really good!! We walked around the airport and shopped in the Walt Disney Store and Sea World and called it a night.

DS liked the bed better then the crib at the Hyatt!!!

Later today will I post DS meeting Mickey for the 1st time 11-25-06

The next morning we put our luggage out for the Hyatt to take to the Disney ship.
I would highly recommend the Hyatt to anyone going on the cruise. We ate breakfast in the airport food court and waited 8:30am in the Hyatt lobby till the DCL staff started checking in people. We boarded the 1st bus ( Captain Mickey) to the port!! While waiting for our bus to be called we ran into Jeff and his family (from the Dis-boards). It was great to meet them!! 9:30am we boarded the bus and headed to the port. When we got to the port we checked in and we did not have to wait long at all. Then as I turned my eyes down by the sofa it was a flash of neon green all over!! It was all the Nana Heads from the Dis-boards! After we checked in we meet all the Nana Heads from the Dis-boards. It was funny because everyone saw Drew and said “this must be Lynn and baby Drew”. It was so nice to meet all the Nana Heads. Drew got to meet Captain Mickey for the 1st time and he just wanted to grab his nose!! Our number was called to head on the Disney Magic. This time as we headed on the Disney Magic the atrium was so beautifully decorated for Christmas. We had never seen the Magic decorated because we have also cruised in the summer!! Right in the center of the atrium was a gorgeous Christmas tree. We headed right up to the buffet and have a nice lunch. We then toured around the ship. We been on the ship 4 times and still you are amazed at new things every time you are on it. Well walked Deck 9 and ran into Shell and Mutt from the Dis-boards. Drew decided to sleep while we walked around!! Well decided to go back to the room to check that out. It was so weird to see a pack-n-play set up in the room because this is our 1st cruise with a baby.
Because this is our 4th cruise we got some free goodies. We got 3 Castaway club Bags, Castaway club pins, cups and lotion. Well then it was off to The Nana Head Meeting. Wow they are a lot of Nana Heads in the lounge. It was so nice because I wanted to meet everyone that I have been talking to for months leading up to the cruise. We exchanged our gifts. I received Tonya and it was 2 very nice ornaments from Missouri. They look great on my tree Tonya!! It was back to the room to see if the luggage came because we needed to get ready for our 5:45 dinner. All of DS’s and DH suitcases came expect mine. So we went to the mandatory drill and were hoping that my luggage would be there when we returned!! It was on to the Mandatory Drill. Drew was not happy to wear his lifejacket. It looked like a snowsuit but bright orange; mind you he is not very fond of his snowsuit either!! He did look cute. My luggage was there so quickly changed for dinner and onto the Bon Voyage party. Well I waited outside and the clouds were getting pretty grey. We are waiting and with 10 minutes before the party a downpour occurred. Boy, was I wet!! It was off to the atrium were they moved the Bon Voyage party. It was very this appointing this time around because it was moved in doors due to the rain!!
Then it was off to dinner. Bruce and Linda (from Dis-boards) and a younger couple with their daughter were our tablemates. Linda and Bruce were great tablemates!! After dinner we decided to watch the Disney Magic’s Christmas tree ceremony. Well it was nice to sing Christmas carols and get in the Christmas spirit while on vacation!! Well as we are going the countdown and the family chosen to light the tree throws their pixie-dust the Christmas tree did not light. The cruise staff tried a few times and then they came on and said they were have problems to check back later to see the tree lite. Instead of the show we walk around Deck 4 to try to burn off the dinner we just had!! It was very hard to go to the shows with Drew because it was his bedtime and cranky time. After that we called it a night !!!

Wow, DS sleep sooooooo well that I told DH that we need to live on a cruise ship!! You know what I loved about this cruise was having our Dis-board family. It was great to run into everyone while walking around the ship!
We are at Sea all day!! It was nice and sunny today but very windy!! We ate breakfast at Topsider’s and then it was off to the pool for most of the day!! I am so used to Quite Cove from the previous cruises that this time around we were at Mickey’s Mouse Pool which is totally different. Well DS 1st time in a pool and he was caution at first then he liked. He really just liked splashing himself in the face!! DH took DS back to the room to nap and I got time to relax by myself!!! After DH came back and we headed to Topsider’s for Lunch. I left like I was also eating all the time!! After lunch we played some BINGO. Of course, we did not win!! Then it was off to the Open House at Flounder’s. DS loved it because of all the toys that they have in there. We liked the workers because they explained what they do and what we need to bring when we use the nursery. Then it was off to go Shopping!! Wow my favorite thing!!! Well of course DS was spoiled rotten. We got him a big Captain Mickey, toys and t-shirts. He made out very well this vacation!! After shopping it was back to the cabin to get dressed for dinner. While walking to dinner we watch the chef finish the Gingerbread House in one of the hallways. The smell was great as you walked by!!
Then it was off to dinner and DS was the main attraction because he was eating watermelon like he was never going to get it again!! Having a 7 month old on the cruise it was very hard to attend the shows because he was sleeping by 7:30pm. We walked around deck 4th and watch the stars twinkle in the water. It was a beautiful!! DH and I were getting tired so it was time to call it a night.
