Atlantic City to Tampa on Spirit, 2:05... no, 4:55... no, 7:00... no, 9:00... no, 9:30... no, 11:30..... the flight finally took off at 12:15 a.m. and I wasn't on it. I was only going for the weekend and I couldn't see having my Dad driving us home at 4 o'clock in the morning (they live almost 2 hours from the airport). We'd have spent the whole weekend grumpy and sleepy so I got a voucher and will try again next month.
Apparently, our plane was coming from Detroit and was delayed (ha, ha, isn't that an understatement) due to the power outage there. Boy, that power outage sure had far-reaching affects!
I have to say that my brother and I had a great time hanging out at the airport bar with some other stranded passengers!
I hope nobody here is on a Spirit flight today b/c I heard a counter person telling someone they expect it to be worse today!
