I've bought quite a few kids' clothes at Lands' End. My girls wear school uniforms, and their stuff really lasts! Right now they each have only two pair of long pants (all from Lands' End), and they still look new after TWO YEARS of wear. You just can't beat that!
The clothes in their catalog run about the same price as JC Penny's, Kohls, or Belks -- but they don't put them on sale every other week like the department stores.
One thing you should check into is their overstocks section. At the end of the season they put things on sale. I've bought dresses in the $9-10 range and shorts for $5-7. Considering the quality, you just can't beat their overstock prices. Of course, they're limited in their selection of color and sizes.
The main reason I like their stuff, however, has to do with their simple, classic, modest styles. Their clothing looks like it was made for LITTLE GIRLS -- not street walkers. Personally, I'd rather my children have a few nice items rather than a closet full of Britany-wear. I'll do the laundry more often without complaint.
