I enjoyed your post. It's good to hear a positive review from a DVC veteran. Being new, I was getting scared by all the nitpicking on these boards. We bought into DVC because it was Disney, which we believe will maintain high-quality standards through the years. We had a wonderful first trip to SSR as DVC members in Jan. I'm sorry about the streak of bad things that happened to you--here's to sunny days ahead.

I'm really curious about the new upholstery? Anyone have a pic?

I don't think the upholstery is all that "new" -- just new to me. It's basically the same original pattern but darker. The chair & ottoman are also a darker shade. The original couch colors are on the back of the dining room chairs.

And I was very much thinking of Richyams on my way to the room when the hall kept going and going and going!

I think that furniture starting showing up about 3 years ago? unit by unit it crept in.......... i do miss the old color scheme - it was a significant change but not enough to make me not love driving over that bridge or opening the door the the villa....

did i tell you i once got a ticket from the security guard for "having too much fun" when returning to OKW for the first time in a year??
