I absolutely agree that it is a very poor use of party time to be sitting in a restaurant. That said though, we love starting the festivities off with an early TS meal in the MK, around 4 or 4:30. That gets us deep into the park to avoid everyone pouring in while everyone else is pouring out. And it fills our tummies with a great meal so we can forget about food the rest of the night. We are usually just heading out around the time we want to line up early for one of the popular party meet & greets.

Additionally, party days in the MK tend to be fairly low crowd days. We love to spend the entire day in the park, and use that late afternoon/early evening ADR as our "rest" as we regroup for the evening.

We're planning a resort day and hitting the party at 4pm. We have TS for breakfast and planning a late lunch. We'll snack during the party.

Yup. Going like hotcakes (or like party tickets.) ;)

Party newbie, is it a dumb move to not be buying tickets TODAY. Is it a bad idea to wait even a month from now? Still not sure about going to the party with young kids/late bedtimes.

I have never bought them for MCVCP (Only Halloween Party) but I would say....JUMP ON IT

From experience I saw the Halloween Party tickets sell out quick. Maybe someone else could input on MVMCP

I recommend sooner rather that later. That said though, nothing is going to sell out in the next month.

Last year, even Halloween night didn't sell out until Oct 4, so it's not very quick. Of course, it could be different this year.

Okay, thank you for the input. I'll make a decision this week. If our date is gone, I guess that's what was meant to be :)

Last year we didn't buy our tickets for MVMCP until the day before the party, which was Dec. 3rd.

also, if the party is a sell out, believe me, you dodged a bullet if you missed out. UNLESS, you don't mind packed crowds. I didn't catch the date you're looking for, but I won't sweat it too much right now unless it's the first, last or almost last party if that season. Those sell out faster. But as I said, sell out=packed, so decide accordingly.
