1st trip home booked for nov 30 - dec 13....we're sooooo excited!!

I know the tickets and dates are not out yet but can anyone help roughly with when the MVMCP goes onsale? Do they sell out ridiculously fast or will be have time to plan it into the schedule around all the ADRs and trips out of the parks (taking my dad so we're fitting in Universal and KSC for him ) Do they dvc discounted evenings go onsale at the same time or earlier? So many questions - sorry!!

Last year tickets for the MNSSHP and MVMCP went on sale May 1st. The DVC and Passholder discounted tickets (select dates) went sale at the same time. Some dates will sell out and other will have still have tickets available the day of the event. One thing to remember is that the DVC discount rate is usually only about 3 dollars less than the regular advance purchase price.

We definately want to do MVMCP so we'll just schedule one in while we're there inbetween the other stuff!! I think we can book the MVMCP tickets before ADRs if they're out at the start of May

The fireworks are incredible!!!! go to Casey's and sit by the fence, Great view of the best firework show! This year we will most likely miss out on the MVMCP because our trip is planned for 11/4 - 11/10, The first date most likely will be the night of the 10th or 11th. I believe that buying the selected dates advance purchase price was cheaper then the DVC discount. You will not be dissappointed, great time, During the second parade is a great time to go do Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain at night, Love the rides at night. Enjoy!!

We were in Disneyland Paris Dec 07 and did Thunder Mountain in the dark when the parade was on one night - I agree, the rides are excellent in the dark and the wait time was really short too!!

Oh I'm so excited now....toooooo long to go!!!

They don't sellout that fast, you can wait until you can make your ADR's. Friday nights sometimes sellout a month or less before. I was surprised that Tuesday Dec 4 soldout, I bought tickets the day before.

We are also going to WDW in December - first time since our honeymoon in 1999!!! If I understand correctly, the daily park hours are available online 6 months in advance. So, in June we will be able to see them for December. Are there any recommendations for choosing a date for the MVMCP without knowing what parks are open late on which days? How quickly do the tickets sell out? Any suggestions will be appreciated! Many thanks!!

What nights do they usually have MVMCP? Are they random or does it always seem to be the same weeknights (like are they always a Friday and Monday). We are just hoping that there will be one December 20 (Saturday), but I am afraid they might be over with before then. Any speculation?

The dates closer to Christmas also sell out rather quickly, but you are absolutely correct about the weekend dates selling fast. This past Christmas I actually purchased tickets for the last MVMCP December 21 in August I believe. I guess being a the last party and a Friday night also, the place was as packed as if it was general admission. I also do not think the park CM's were asking regular ticket holders to leave as they are supposed to. We saw lots of people without the wrist bands that you are supposed to have to stay in the park.

I've been going around that time for 10 years and I don't think they ever had one on a Saturday night. Usually Thursday & Friday, then 2 nights between Sunday and Wednesday (usually Sunday & Tuesday).

In 2007, the last date was 12/21.
