It's just my DH and I (40 something's) going down in early December. We've never done the MVMCP and wonder if it's worth the extra $$$? We come from New England so the fake snow on Main Street is not a big appeal. Any thoughts on why we should do this?

I am an adult with no kids (I'm 23), and I really enjoyed MVMCP. I've been twice, and I plan to go again this December. The Magic Kingdom has a really festive atmosphere during the party, and the lines are really short for the attractions. I thought the snow on Main Street was really neat, but then again I'm from the South where we hardly ever get snow, LOL! :teeth: They also show the Christmas parade, which is cute. I guess the only way to know for sure if you'll like it is to give it a try. :)

100% worth it! I went in '01 with my DH and we had a blast. The snow on Main Street is a draw no matter where you are from... it's just part of the magic!

It's definitely something that adults enjoy, especially if you love the Christmas season. It's fun to watch the Christmas parade, and the special Christmas shows. You also get a cool family pictures, and free cookies and cocoa. There is so much to see and do--we barely made it on the rides during the party because we wanted to experience everything else.

Yes. That said, we are 40 something empty nesters. We love MVMCP. The way I had it explained to me over years ago is, you get to see all the holiday shows and the daytime holiday parade they do only for a week or two. The snow is a nice touch. The have cookies and such out. You get a group photo as part of the ticket price. Most people do not do the rides. So you have little or no lines for rides. The MVMCP and the Candlelight Processional is a must for us every year.

Another Yes vote - DH and I went last year and really enjoyed it. The lower crowds - riding the rides with no wait. And the atmosphere is great! We exchanged our tickets for the writsbands as soon as they were available (these identify MVMCP guests) and then had a PS at Tony's Town square for dinner around the time the park closed to day guests. By the time we were done, we headed to Tomorrowland where they "corral" party guests while the park clears out from day guests, and it was great. The Christmas shows, the special lighting of the castle (with snowflakes projected on it) - it was all wonderful.

I have not been yet, but it's on the list of must do's for us. We have no children, but we both are large children. We love Disney and the Christmas season, so this and CP are both in the works for our vacation. Mickey

We went last year and loved it. We did take our 9 year-old DD with us but it would have been great alone. (or dare I say even better) We had unusual weather last winter, it rained a LOT but on our day it was great. It even got good and cold where we could bundle up with coats, hats, and gloves. On our day (Dec 15) the crowds were a little heaver than we were expecting because the party before ours was rained out and they gave a lot of passes out to the next party. But the crowds were still not bad and a lot less than during the day. All the special shows were great and we had a blast.

My DH and I went two years ago and loved it! As everyone so far has said, there are several holiday types of things to see and do. And as far as being used to snow at Christmas, we are used to snow in the winter also, but when have you got to enjoy snow while wearing shorts? We both remarked that the snow falling, the Christmas lights, the Christmas music, and 80 degree weather was certainly the way we liked to do Christmas. Of course as mentioned before, you don't always get the warm weather, but wow! when you do!:)

My husband and I have been the last two Decembers and did MVMCP twice each time. I think it is wonderful - I'm 29 and my husband is 30 and we're expecting our first child in November so all 4 parties were just the two of us and we absolutely love them.

We're from NE too and believe it or not, we're amazed to see snow falling from the sky while at WDW. There is just something about being outside in the "snow" without having to dress in 15 layers :p

Definitely do it, you will love it

Yes do it. We went the first time in 1993 with DH and I only. We also went in 2000 and our DS was 4 months old. He just slept in the stroller while we enjoyed all the activities and the hot chocolate and cookies. :D

My vote is yes also. My husband and I are 48 and our kids are out on their own & no grandchildren yet to take along. We do to Disney every year in early December and we never miss MVMCP. We always do dinner in the castle right before the MVMCP and then head for the rides. There are NO lines. We also catch the parade. It is alot of fun and puts us in the holiday spirit. Plus, I think the MK is extra special at night. It is fun to go up to the haunted house in the dark. During the time of year that we go, the MK closes early and this is the only chance to get to experience the MK at night. We are looking forward to going again this year.
