MVMCP--What is advance?

Tried a search and no luck. Sorry if this has been answered a million times:
How far ahead must I purchase MVMCP tickets in order to get the discounted advance purchase price? Is 1 or 2 days still considered "advance"? I am thinking about waiting to see which day has the best weather. If I go on a weekday, will there be a risk of a sell-out? We will be there Dec. 3 - 10.

I believe that you get the advanced price up to the day before the date of the party. You pay more on the same day.

The Friday night parties tend to sell out, as one as the last couple. It doesn't usually make it a sell out, but the night the Mousefest folks are going on December 7th.
