MVMCP vs. DAH

DH and I just booked a trip to Orlando for Dec. 8-15 (staying offsite). There are four Christmas parties and one DAH that week, costing roughly the same, and we're considering doing one or the other. MVMCP is five hours long while DAH is only three, but during DAH we'd concentrate on rides (thus allowing us to spend more time in the other parks on the days we're in town) while MVMCP of course has the parade, Holiday Wishes, and special shows in addition to rides. What other factors do you think we should consider in choosing between them? It would just be the two of us, no kids or anyone else.

You can get into the park at 7 for DAH even if it doesn’t start until 10, and I to the park at 4 with MVMCP tickets (2 if you are a DVC member). I think it really comes down to what you want to do. If you want. A lot of rides with no waits then DAH. If you want the Christmas parade and fireworks while it is crowded, do MVMCP. They are selling a lot of tick ets to the parties this year and it isn’t easy like it used to be to see the fireworks and parades. The lineups for the popular characters are al so long.

We did DAH and MNSSHP this year. After Hours was amazing and basically empty. Walk on rides as quick as you can get to them. Free treats and drinks. The Halloween party was packed. Grab spots early for any parade or show. Huge crowds and tough to walk after parades and shows.

Would love to do another DAH, but we're good on parties for a while.

I'll echo pitpat. Did MNSSHP last year and DAH this past March. DAH was so much better in terms of crowds being smaller and rides being walk-on. The bonus of snacks at DAH was amazing! We took a backpack, would get some popcorn, dump it into a ziplock bag in the backpack and eat it whenever we wanted as we wandered around riding rides.

If the christmas theming, characters and parade/stage show are most important to you, then do the party. We will probably do the christmas party this year because our trip is after the last DAH. If there was DAH, I'd do it for sure.
