They recently released AP/DVC and Military discounts for certain nights. I believe they are posted on the DIS.

Oh and if you already bought the tickets at the higher price and qualify for one of these discounts, you can get a credit for the difference.

Disney's Armed Forces Salute 2009
Discounted tickets for Active and Retired U.S. Military, including Coast Guard and active National Guard or Reservists. They may purchase up to 5 additional tickets for family or friends. ID requirements are the same as the 5 day Disney's Armed Forces Salute tickets.

Dates:
November 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 29
December 1, ,3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17 dates only.

Prices:
Ages 10 and up $36.40 plus tax
Ages 3-9 $32.20 plus tax

Not available at Military Bases or Shades of Green.

Passholder/DVC Discount Dates:

We already purchased our tickets for Dec 13 (and only got an advance purchase price - no AP discount for Dec 13), but I am gonna call tomorrow - I'd love to get an AP credit for the lower price!

Hmmmmmm, just saw this blurb on the AP site:

"*Passholder discount rates available when tickets are purchased in advance for the following event nights: 11/10/09, 11/12/09, 11/13/09, 11/17/09, 11/19/09, 12/6/09, 12/8/09."

So, our night of Dec 13 is not included for the AP discount - IF you advance purchase the tickets? That doesn't seem right.

Am I reading this wrong?

My parents and I are going to be there in 2 1/2 weeks and this is the first time we will see it at Christmastime! I don't have to tell any of you how excited I am for that week to get here! C'mon, can't we just go now?!

I am guessing that ticket sales are slow for MVMCP. The AP/DVC/Military discount was only offered in the last week or so. It also pretty much covers every party with the exception of a couple of weekend dates. I hope it is lightly attended as I would LOVE low crowds on 12/15. OH THE WAITING IS DRIVING ME NUTS!

We bought our tickets back in July. We did not get an AP or DVC member discount because the night we are going was not a discounted night.
I found out yesterday about the new discount date added. I called Ticket Services and they are refunding me $16.38. Not a huge deal but every dollar counts towards drinks or a meal or extra presents!
