OK. I LOVE my MVMCP tickets that I just got in the mail :) Does Disney keep the tickets when they give you the wristband? The tickets would be cool for my scrapbook.

Now onto Fast Pass. I read somewhere that you could get Fast Passes by using your room card. Is this correct? What about using your theme park pass for Fast Pass? How does all of this work? I've never been there when Fast Pass was an option. My friend just came back from WDW and her family didn't figure Fast Pass out till their last day. I want to be well informed before I get there. Thanks guys.
Gerri

I'm not sure about the MVMCP tix Gerri. I hope we get to keep them too...but somehow I am doubting it. :( I guess we'll see. :)

About Fast Pass.......I thought you insert your park pass to get a Fast Pass.

I hope someone can answer this for us. :)

The last time we went we had the length of stay passes or whatever they call them and the were on our room card, so we just put the room card in the fast pass machine and we got our fast pass ticket.

Questions?? Answers???

Gerri, you do get to keep your MVMCP passes. You put them into the card-reading turnstiles just like your regular hopper or annual passes, and they come out the other side, and they are yours to keep. I still have my MVMCP passes, room keys and hoppers from past trips, and they do make nice souveniers for scrapbooking if you are so inclined. However, they do take your tickets for E-ride nights. By the way, there are no wristbands involved with MVMCP, at least that I can remember. :)

As far as Fast Pass goes: the last time I was there you could use both your hopper pass and your room key to get Fast Passes. Insert one or the other in the Fast Pass machine and a Fast Pass comes out and returns your hopper or room key. I had heard that Disney changed the software so only hoppers worked in the Fast Pass machines, but I'm not sure of that. As it was when I was there by using both the hopper and the room key, you could get 2 Fast Passes per person (if each person has their own room key) for the same ride. In other words, go on once with Fast Pass, turn right around and use the other. That make sense? :) And yes, I will admit getting 2 Fast Passes for the same ride every once in a while, like for Rock 'n Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, and Winnie the Pooh (loved that ride for some reason). Bad boy, disneycub!! :earseek:

The only thing with MVMCP tickets is that if you are already in the park, at a restaurant, they took our tickets from us. We didn't get them back. However, my mom wanted hers, so they told us to go to guest services way out in front of the MK entrance and ask for tickets to use as souveniers. After a little hassle, they did give us two tickets to keep. I don't remember wrist bands for MVMCP, either.
I didn't realize you could use a room key for fast pass, too. (unless it was your park pass) I've never tried that. You might try asking that question on the Theme park board. They usually have the most up to date info.
Steve, I love Winnie the Pooh, too! I love the flood part!!! :D :D I even rode that by myself the last time I was there. There I was, this poor lonely lady riding Pooh all by herself. ;) ;) I think that's one of Disney latest best rides!

Love The Pooh ride....and the floating IS definitely the best part. :)

Well since I'm such a Tigger fan I loved the bouncing part, and the wuzzle (or whatever) that blows the smoke ring. For being a cheapo ride (comparitively) it sure is fun!

I forgot about the being inside the MK part for MVMCP. You'd think they'd have hand-held scanners or card readers like they do at Cirque du Soleil.

You know what, I like the Tigger part, the Wuzzle part, the blustery day part.........I guess I just like the whole thing! Hey, there's another idea for a mini-meet: a Winnie the Pooh marathon! Wouldn't that be fun?? Well, we could just ride Pooh a few extra times during Tia's Fantasyland meet. You know, it's almost so good, I don't miss Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

I never missed Mr. Toad from WDW, I guess because it was already gone before I started visiting on a regular basis. However, I've ridden it in Dizzyland several times.

The ride I miss from 'Dizzyland' ( :D ) is Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin. :( :( :(

Tia, me, too!! I loved Roger Rabbit! I loved the whole Toontown vs. WDW Toontown. It's so much neater at DL! I also loved the Alice in Wonderland ride! I made the family ride it 3 times! The Matterhorn & Indiana Jones were great rides, too. We hope to get back there some time in the near future. We were there in 1997. So, I think it's time!

Barb, in the words of a wise baboon....."it is time" LOL :D Disneyland has *charm* that just can't be found at the MK...but that's okay...wouldn't be 'worth it' if they were identical! ;)

I like the Indiana Jones ride too.....I haven't tried the Matterhorn.....I was willing to on our last trip, but it was closed for refurb.

The Alice ride is adorable!!! :)

Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin has finally been re-opened with safety modifications.

It has? :bounce: I thought for sure that it would never re-open! That's great! :bounce:

What was wrong with it? And what kind of 'safety modifications'?

They did some work on the track so that kids can't accidentally fall underneath the cars....also they put in self-closing doors on the taxicabs, and did a few other software modifications for emergency situations. I'll take a look in October when I go.

I forgot....as to why it was closed in the first place. A child fell out of the taxicab and was trapped in the ride tracks and the next taxicab ran over him, where he was trapped for 10-15 minutes. Last time I heard, the child was still in a coma. Apparently the child's parents ignored the safety instruction that said something to the effect of "make sure children are seated away from the taxicab doorway." Anyway, Disneyland is being sued.

 Oh my gosh!

The suit must be over if Disneyland is able to re-open the ride, right?

I don't know, because thankfully ::clasping my hands together and acknowledging YOU-KNOW-WHO:: we haven't been in this situation before, but I don't think I would have the audacity to sue someone for something I was wrong about. Do you know what I mean? Maybe when you're in that sort of situation you just can't see that it was your fault. I don't know. :(

Any way you shake it...........TRAGEDY! :(
