MVMCP- Thurs 16th or Fri. 17th?

This may be a preference question but I'll throw it out here anyway. We are getting to go to our very first MVMCP and we are excited! We have a choice of the 16th or 17th. I am wondering if it will be that much less crowded on Thursday the 16th vs Fri. 17th. It would fit better into my touring plans if we go on Friday but I read somewhere that the last party is usually more crowded. I want to make the best of our evening so.......opinions anyone?

It's no contest! You do not want to go on Friday night. Most of the Friday night partys sell out, with the last Friday night selling out the quickest.

I heard the same thing, but we arrive on the 17th and have no other choice. It's the 17th or nothing for us. We'll have to be brave.

Having attended the last MVMCP of last year, 12/19, I can tell you that it was and that if you have any other day to go other than the last day or a Friday, please consider doing so. The locals hit the Fridays more than the other days, so with the locals and the tourist, it's much more busy. Maggie

Just a guess, but Thursday might be less crowded than friday.

Thanks for the opinions guys! It looks like we better choose Thursday. The MVMCP is a "don't miss", right? It is going to add another 214.86 to my budget but I was told that we've just gotta see it at least once!
