MVMCP Sell Out?

We are planning to go to DW in December and would like to go to MVMCP during our stay. Here's the hitch...we have a newborn and can't yet predict whether we'll decide it's impossible to take the xmas trip because he's too young, whether we'll go ahead with the trip but need to be in the room early, etc. etc.

I think we'd be best holding off as long as possible to buy MCMCP tickets (for Friday, Dec 19) given the uncertainties. I have heard that tickets often sell out. How long can we safely wait to buy tickets for the last night of MVMCP? I don't want to risk a sell out.

I am quite sure they don't start selling out till the Fall with Fridays and maybe the last party being first to do so.

You are on the last night of the party. We were there last year (dec 20) and it did sell out And, I think it was one of the first ones to sell out. I can't remember how far in advance.. but I do remember seeing which nights were sold out noted on wdwig.com. Maybe you can email them there and see if someone remembers???

Look at last year's info if it's still there and you will see what I mean...might not be as this year's dates are out.

If the party is very important to you, then I would recommend not waiting too long or waiting based on how long before it sold out last year. Who knows, crowds could be up this year. Also the tickets have gone on sale much earlier this year than they did last year. If it were me and I really wanted to go to the party, I would go ahead and purchase the tickets now, then if you can't make the trip, then put them up on E-Bay or something. I typically am against selling WDW tickets on E-Bay, simply because you never know if the tickets have already been used or not. But in the case of MVMCP, the date is printed on the ticket, so the buyer would know for sure that they are getting a legit ticket.

The Dec. 19 party, being the last one, is usually the first to sell out.

Does anyone know if the first show (Nov. 30 this year) gets bigger crowds than others? We went on a Sunday night in the past and the crowds seemed low, but it was not on opening night.
