MVMCP Questions

My fiance and I are debating purchasing tickets for MVMCP during our honeymoon in November. Neither of us have ever been, but when he asked what all it consists of I didn't have a very good reply. So, for all you MVMCP vets, can you please describe the party for us? I know it's a parade, but does it just travel down Main Street? Does anything else happen? Also, I'd love to see a few pictures. I guess we're just trying to decide if it is worth the extra purchase. Thank you!

Parade... It's much more than that.

A hard ticket event with "limited" numbers of tickets*, hot chocolate, cookies, special fireworks, "snow" on Main Street USA, characters in special holiday costumes (some characters in groupings that ONLY appear at this event), special parade, holiday show, shorter lines for rides than usual (depends on the party night) and plenty of holiday decorations.

Here's the hard part -- only YOU and your DF will be able to decide if it's worth it for you, and then only after you've experienced it.

I suggest trying it. Then you'll know.

*"Limited" means different things to different people...

I think it's worth trying at least once. We love the Halloween party better though. Best parade ever! We still sing the boo to you song.

Thank you for your replies. I checked out the link. I didn't realize there were so many shows and that the holiday cheer had such a wide expanse throughout the parks. We always wanted to go to the Halloween party as well, but after seeing the videos and map, we just may give it a try.

Haven't seen it mentioned yet, but note with party tickets, you can get into the park at 4PM even though the party doesn't start until 7PM. When we have done parties, we typically spent that morning either at a water park or relaxing by the pool. Then late lunch, get to park at 4PM to maximize time at party, staying until ending at midnight.

and i wanted to add there are character "dance parties" (i've been to the one at cosmic ray's twice) its like they've turned the restaurant into a night club with music, lights, a DJ, and characters dancing with guests.

also i absolutely love when the pirates sing christmas songs! my favorite part is "i think i lost my eye patch, better go and find it, we need a pirate christmas now".

i also enjoy the very very short lines.
i rather go on rides than watch the parade or show.

i highly recommend going.

I never saw anything about the "dance parties." It sounds like a lot of character interaction. Thanks to all your replies, we've gone from "ehhh maybe" to "I think we should fit this in."
