I have in hand tickets for MVMCP. Several questions. 1)MV<CP will be at The Magic Kingdom? Correct? 2)What time will we be able to enter MK? 3)Will rides/attractions be open during these MVMCP hours? Will appreciate your help?

1. Yes
2. You can enter using your party ticket beginning at 4:00 p.m.
3. The majority of rides and attractions will be open.

For more information, visit our MVMCP page here on the DIS:

I'm just curious, how could you spend so much money on tickets for this event and not even be sure as to where it was? not trying to be mean here, just really curious... :)

I was actually thinking the same thing...not being mean...just thought it was odd

There are some attractions closed - Hall of Presidents, Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, Riverboat.

I'm sorry but your type of comment is why people are afraid to post questions. The OP only has 12 posts, so perhaps he/she is in learning mode. Not everyone is a Disney expert-this is why we come to DISboards. Your comment was completely unnecessary and mean-spirited. More and more often, I'm seeing these types of comments here and it is the opposite of everything I love about Disney-kindness, magic and helpfulness. Let's all be kind.

Thanks for your comments GoofyKidd. I was not going to dignify there response with a comment. Sure hope they are not typcial Disney visitors.

No, that's not a typical Disney visitor. I doubt anyone was trying to be mean, although they seemed to realize they might sound mean. I think sometimes those of us that have been around the WDW block a few times, tend to forget that not everything is as obvious to everyone else...especially those who are new to WDW.
It's too bad, but sometimes that lack of patience turns new people away from these boards. I have to say that many, many people have paid that hefty price for MVMCP tickets but not had a clue as to how they work or what they are getting for their money.
If everyone knew everything there was to know about WDW, there would be no need for this board. We could just have one big ole gab fest...aka Community Board.:lmao:

sorry, I take it back. after thinking about it, I guess just the idea of attending a christmas party at the world sounds pretty cool! :)

APHPAPHP, I formally apologize for my bad attitudeness. I hope you have a wonderful time at the party!

I think its a legit question...Why buy something when you dont know what you are paying for...no one was being mean...just asking a question....I think your comments are far worse...And even more mean spirited

The first time I went I didn't know everything about the party. I saw the Samantha Brown Christmas Special in 2006. What I knew about the party was from watching that special. They didn't even show the rides. I knew there would be special firework, parade, shows, and dance party's for the kids.
I had never been to WDW I and only been to DL. At DL they didn't have a special Christmas Party. If everyone one knew everything about WDW then we wouldn't need the boards or the podcasts.

When someone says "I'm not trying to be mean" you're being mean, and know it. ;) Somethings are better left unsaid unless trying to :stir:.

dolphindan1--I have been to DW several times. My first trip was before you were born. The reason for my original question(s) is that I am taking my two Grandgirls for their first trip to DW. My favorite part of every trip has been the MMVMCP. I wanted to be very sure of the time/place/etc. because I did not want my Grandchildren to miss a minute of it. That's why I bought the tickets and thats why I asked the question(s)!

You can't even imagine how many people spend thousands of dollars for trips to WDW and have absolutely no idea what they are doing. It boggles my mind when I talk to some people and they tell me "Nah, we don't have any set plans. This is our first trip so we want to see it all, do it all. We're going to take it easy and eat when we feel like it..then be able to walk over to Epcot when we get done at MK." And yes, that is an actual conversation I had with someone. And they paid full price for their 'all inclusive' pkg.
We need to realize that the vast majority of people don't even know about online forums such as the DIS....we are the lucky ones.

And to be fair....Disney has been known to change venues on people. I know that Night of Joy was routinely held at MK, but a year ago, Disney moved it to DHS. So, it's fair to ask if a party is in the same place...or if anything about it has changed. I know that since my first MVMCP, many things have changed...they no longer clear the park before the party starts, they no longer give you a free 5x7 photo taken at a prearranged place, no longer give out those cool buttons, replaced great shows with most likely not so great ones, and raised the prices and taken away some discounts.

I wasnt attacking you by any means...I was just curious...just they way the question was worded through me off...I am here to help and dont mind doing so...just like one poster I just thought your original question was a bit odd...no offense...

:thumbsup2

I've been to WDW many times, and I didn't really know much about MVMCP until I was watching one of those Samantha Brown Christmas shows at Disney World, and after watching it, was really interested in going to the party. I knew the basics...which park it was, that it is from 7-midnight, and the cost, but that's about it. It just looked like it would be alot of fun, when I watched that one program. So I bought tickets.

We have tickets for the MVMCP on December 10, and can't wait to go!!
