Could someone please give me information on the family picture at the party? Where do they do it. I have read on these boards that you don't get to take it with you, they mail it. Is that true? Is there a charge, I have also heard it is free? Are the lines horrible to get them taken? I hate to buy MVMCP tickets and have to wait in line forever just for a picture.

This is my first MVMCP too! From what I gather, there are a couple of places to get your picture taken. I plan on going to the location in Liberty Square after eating at LTT. The lines can be long, but they move fast. The picture is free, it's a 5X7 and they do mail them to you from what I gather. However, I wonder if they could go ahead and put it on PhotoPass?

The picture is free, and yes they mail it to you free as well. They have stations located all thru the park. You will receive a map when you enter which will show locations. I always do this first thing!
Since this year we are taking our 3 nieces and two live in one location and one in another they will actually mail a copy of the picture to us, and both of them. At least they have in the past. What they want you to do is order more pictures, but you don't have too. We always all wear our Mickey santa hats, or other disney character for the photo. You all will also receive a MVMCP pin when you get your pictures.

There are different spots all around the park for pictures. Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Liberty Square and probably a couple of others. When we went in 2001, you didn't get to take the picture home. You filled out a form and they mail it to you. You can get one picture free for every person in the group with a MVMCP ticket, but I think they have to go to a different address. I'm not 100% positive about the different address part though. Yes, the lines will be long but if they are too long, just come back later.

When can you start taking the pictures? Is it right at the start of the party (7pm) OR can you take them at 6pm in the waiting area of Tomorrowland if you are there that early? :confused3

We have young ones, so we will probably be there early to catch all of the first shows/parades/etc....that we can. It would also be nice to get the photos while the kids are the freshest, rather than at the end of the night with them all pooped out or asleep.

I've read either on this board or another one that in past years they started taking pictures at 6. 'Officially' I'm sure it doesn't start till 7 when the party starts.
