MVMCP Park Hours...?

I noticed on the night of MVMCP the MK park hours are closed super early. (We've never done any of the parties) Out of curiosity, does the park stay open late while the party goes on? If so how late? (MK closes @7pm) & Are the rides all going during this time? Less wait times?

You have to purchase a party ticket to stay in the park after 7:00. If you don't have a wrist band (which you get once you enter the park with your party ticket) you will not be allowed to stay at the park.
If you purchase a party ticket, it is a limited number of tickets, so wait times can be less depending on how many tickets have been sold. We have done the party twice and have found wait times to be less than no part days.

okay awesome, and how long does the park usually stay open until on a night like that? is there generally a lot of people who attend the party?? or is it almost like an EMH type night? we're going Dec 5th/6th

The party runs from 7:00p to 12:00a and roughly 25,000-35,000 tickets are sold (a third or so of total park capacity). Generally ride lines are short, but party activities are still crowded.

Stay away from a Friday night party if you can. If you are able to get tix to a Tuesday night party you'll probably have less of a crowd, although more and more party dates are selling out. The thought behind that might be that Disney is limiting ticket sales more than in years past, which means good news for line haters. Most attractions are open but remember FP+ is not available during the party so everyone is subject to standing in lines. Try to hit some of your favorite rides during one of the two parade times.
