I don't want to buy both. I have a two year old, and the current plan is to go to MK and MGM.

Would you spend your money on the Park Hopper or the Party? Which would be better for my daughter.

We are only there for two days, would you do either of them?

The party is on a late day for MGM (we are staying on-site). The other day we will be there is a late day for MK. So we were going to do the parks on their late days (due to needinga break in the day).

As alwyas, Thanks!

If your goal is to see as much as possible, I'd go for the hopper and go early, take a break and stay late. The party is fun, but you won't feel like you missed much. The parks are decorated and are already very festive. You're talking a large price difference though.

Unless you are going to hop to the other parks (AK, Epcot), I'm not sure why you'd consider a hopper. You can do one full day at each planned park.

If I had 2 days and a hopper, I would not miss Epcot! My plan would be MK one full day (especially with a 2 year old) and the second day split between Epcot (morning) and MGM (afternoon and Fantasmic and the lights). But that's just me!

We love the MVMCP and will be there again this year.....but I agree with your first response that it's not necessary. Especially if you catch the lights at MGM.

Thanks for asking that question.

We're leaving on 11/15 and will only be in the parks for 2 days, as well.

We have our DD3 and my DM going with us. First time for DD3. I was trying to decide whether to do park hoppers, go to MVMCP, or just do MK and MGM. My DH and I thought about doing park hoppers just for us so that we can go to Epcot and eat. Worth it? I don't know. Maybe we'll visit Downtown Disney, something we've never done.

All I know is that I'm excited!

"12 more night-nights!"

We had the same dilema. Park hoppers or MVMCP. We opted for the party because it's so easy to spend a whole day in one park there's no need to hop. I can see in the summer or real busy times of the year where you might want the hopper option in case the park you visit is way to busy. But I don't think that's a problem at this time of the year. :cool1:

I like Downtown Disney very much, especially decorated for the holidays. In fact, we always pick a DTD area hotel for half of our trip, moving to a Disney resort for the second half. There are some nice restaurants in DTD, if you don't feel like getting the hopper just for an Epcot dinner. My family likes Fulton's very much (seafood and such).....there is also a nice Italian place, but I can't remember the name!

Have a nice trip!

Maybe neither. It depends on your two year old. You said a mid-day nap is needed. Is your daughter able to stay up late at night with a good nap? To me, the party is really only worth it if you be able to stay for all of it - until midnight. Also, with only two days, that's pretty limited. You could easily spend an entire day at MGM and MK.

Incidentally, we loved the MVMCP last year, but we know the parks pretty well, and it was a first for us to see the holiday version, but we were also able to see the holiday lights at MGM which were more impressive than I thought they would be, and we were able to see several of the resorts in holiday mode, and we were able to hit DTD, which was also fun.

For a kick, consider a visit to the gingerbread house at GF - during daytime hours when it is open. It's free. Hop on the monorail from MK.

I think if you decide against the MVMCP, you could wait on the hopper part until you are there, and add it if you want it then.

great advice! thanks to the OP and everyone else!

Thanks to everyone who replied. Since we will have DD2 with us, and I haven't been to MK in years or ever to MGM, I think we will skip both options and treat ourselves to an extra treat or something.
