We (myself, DH and DS who will be 13) are going to be in Disney over Christmas - I would really like to do both but not sure I can squeeze everything we want to do in... if you had to pick which would you choose? MVMCP or the Candelight Processional (with or without dinner reservations?)?

We passed by the CP one night and it looked interesting, but DD5 would not have enjoyed it I am sure. Since your son is older it might be a good idea.

We had fun at MVMCP and I think everyone should do it once :)

MVMCP hands down. DS will enjoy it more. There way more things to do. You can choose to get pictures with special characters, or go on rides with no wait, or just hang out & eat free cookies & cocoa while watching the special parades & shows. CP is nice but you just sit in the open auditorium. You can see it from the walkway in the back for free any night it is running.

MVMCP will wrap about a week before Christmas, but all of the shows and fireworks I believe are displayed the week of Christmas.

Also, I'd do both! I don't think I could choose!

Really... We were in Disney for Christmas about 6 years ago and MVMCP was still happening while we were there.... hmm.... If that is the case that may make my decision easier... LOL!

Yeah, but then again anything is possible this year it seems. Just wait for the dates to be released and then you can decide. :)

This. We stopped in the walkway and within about 5 minutes my daughter was ready to move on. It's nice and maybe if you're there when your favorite celebrity is doing the reading it would be worth it. Otherwise, I'd do MVMCP.

I guess I'm in the minority, but we love CP and only just kind of like MVMCP. We do CP every year with the dinner package, and we wouldn't miss it. My son absolutely loves it; he's seen it at 11 months, just under 2, and just under 3, and he's always been fascinated. We sit up front and he loves the music and the choirs.

We did MVMCP last year and it was fine, but nothing special, just really crowded. The parade was great and we liked the castle show, but that was pretty much it. We're locals, so we do the parks a lot, and spending a night at a crowded MK is not our idea of fun.

Are you sure? Because it just wouldn't be feasible to close MK at 7pm during the busiest week of the year.

We are going to Disney in December and hope to do both. I actually participate in the CP in high school so I am excited to see it from the audience. The music is gorgeous and the narrators are always impressive. We are going to try to do both...the only downside is MVMC is a little expensive but I head it should not be missed!
