Hi guys! This will be our first December trip and we're trying to decide when to do MVMCP. Should we go one night during the week, or save it until the last night??

It would be a nice way to end your trip. I've done it on my last night (for MNSSHP on Halloween night though).

Only con I see is "if" there is a down pour and things are canceled (parade, fireworks) you won't be able to try and exchange your tickets for another night BUT it is very rare that MVMCP is rained out. I know of it happening only once back in 2002 I believe.

Hmmm... I guess the rain is something to think about. My dilemma is that I want to go on a day that has an AP discount, but still want to avoid Pop Warner. I'll probably just chance it, but thought I'd see what others' opinions were. Thanks for your input!!

We saved MVMCP for our last night for a couple of reasons: first, we figured it would be a good "grand finale" to our visit and second, it was a Thursday night, and we thought it might be a little less crowded. Wrongo! Or, at least, it seemed pretty crowded to us. My wife remarked that "we paid $100 for the three of us to get a little extra elbow room, and we didn't get it". To be fair, though, we blew nearly an hour searching the Emporium (in vain) for an appropriate "MVCMP" shirt for each of us (two adults, one petite 6 YO). Also, again in the interest of fairness, many of the rides were walk on and we did quite a bit, given the time we had. If memory serves, we did Aladdin, POC, HM, PP, Stitch, Buzz, watched Wishes from Fantasyland (not the best place), the Christmas Parade from a VERY crowded Main Street, and finally, stayed for the 12AM castle forecourt show; got back to the room around 1AM. We slept a little later than usual the next morning, before setting out on a 12 hour drive home. Would I do it again? Probably, but not definitely. I think they are raising the ticket limit, which leads to more crowded conditions than expected.
