MVMCP on a Thurs or Fri the 1st week of Dec?

We're taking my parents on DCL Dec 3, 2006. I've talked them into going to WDW for 2-3 nights before our cruise. We have the choice of going to MVMCP on either a Thurs or Fri night. My DM is leaning towards Fri-in order to have a 2 night stay at WDW (even though we're paying for most of the trip she's still concerned about how much everything costs), but I'm afraid that the park will be extra crowded on a Fri MVMCP. My parents have only been to WDW once, and this will probably be the only other trip that they'll make there in their lives. They're not crazy about crowds or waiting in line for a long time. But, my DM always wanted to go to see the MK again, so I want the evening to be enjoyable for them-especially to see it snow on Main St. We don't mind just going the 2 nights if the Fri MVMCP isn't too crowded. DM knows that I rely for all my info on this board and said that we'd go by what the "Experts" think. So, what do you guys think?

I would go on a Thursday. We went Tues. the 13th and it was excellent. We waited for nothing, just walked on.

2nd vote for Thurs. More "locals" go on the weekend.

I'd go for Thurs but its probably not a decision on the magnitude of when to invade the European land mass. Due to various factors our only option was Fri Dec 9th (sold out) but it wasn't really bad except for a brief period right after the fireworks. We hit all the shows, fireworks, parade and all the rides we wanted (came in at 4p).
