MVMCP Military Ticket question

We are Military. I know WDW issues a select number of military tickets for the Christmas parties. But I was under the assumption you can only buy them at WDW - not through the mail or at SoG. Last year we were too worried about it selling out, and it did (last party).

We will be in WDW in about 3 weeks. Would be able to purchase the MVCMP tickets for December?

It's only for select dates. The last party will likely not have a discount offered. It's usually tuesdays in the beginning of party season.

I don't think MVMCP tickets have gone on sale yet. Unless it happened in the last few days. You will have to see what happens in the next few weeks.

You can buy military discount party tickets via the phone from Disney.

From my understanding if military party tickets are offered then they do not sell out. So even if the party itself is sold out they will still sell you a military ticket for it since they can only be bought in person at WDW (and may have even been day of can't remember).

Probably not, they go on sale around August or later, I think. Last year there were only certain nights that had military discount and only for parties in November, all the December dates did not have military discounts. If it's the same this year, you can just buy them online at the regular price.

I had no idea they offered military discount tickets for these parties! We are going during MNSSHP. Any idea on if they have them for this party or what days? I know that isnt the OP question, but hoping someone will have some info!

Yes, Steve's military disney tips website. The 2016 is not up yet, still 2015. The discount on last year was nice, but dates were all in November.

tickets go on sale tomorrow - i have not been able to find out which days will offer a discount - and the tickets have to be purchased at guest services at one of the parks - they cannot verify over the phone whether or not you really are military so that has to be done in person. They cannot do it at the resorts either.

I have no idea on the Halloween party, have you checked Steve's website? That's my go to.

This is correct. You can buy tickets with a military ID at guest services outside the Magic Kingdom for sold out parties. We did this last year for the final MVMCP with no problems on the day of the party, around noon. That party didn't have a discount (only some dates are discounted for military), but we at least were able to get tickets when others would not have been able to.

When I spoke with SOG last year about the christmas party tickets at the end of the day for me is wasn't worth the discount. Because SOG has them too. The discount I don't think was even 5 bucks at least from what I can remember doing the math and all. Plus if we wanted to get them at the gate sure but didn't want to take our chance of not being able to get tickets. But this is just my opinion and it was just DH and I.

Last June I bought tickets for MVMCP with the military discount at guest services in the MK without issue. Two years ago, I tried to buy discounted tickets the day of a party (also at guest services inside MK) and the party was sold out, so they would not sell them to me. Perhaps I should have tried guest services outside of the park because I was very disappointed. I'm really debating about buying tickets for our trip this Nov. and paying full price for fear of not being able to get them once we get there.

They only discount the September parties. It looks like you are going in October. Tough luck. :-(
