MVMCP - Is it possible to do all shows and rides?

If I arrive at 4:00 pm and leave at midnight, can I go to all the rides and watch all shows, parade and fireworks?

No, not possible. You can do a lot, but there isn't enough time to do them all. We usually skip rides like the Tomorrowland Speedway and anything that we can easily do during the day. Still don't get to them all - but we always make sure to watch the parade, Christmas shows and the fireworks!

How big are the lines to the "mountains"??

We're going on the 17th of Dec. How much will we possibly get to do? Will the crowds be absolutely overbearing? I think our main emphasis will be on the shows, and hopefully a few rides.

I have a twist on that same question. My kids are night owls & we are planning on doing MVMCP our first night and sleeping in the next day.

If we arrive at 4 & stay until midnight do you think we can get the "major" rides done. Like Buzz, the Mountains and Fantasyland? I know I have gotten Fantasyland done in an hour during EE. I just don't know what to expect as far as crowds.

I planned one other morning in the MK where we will have about 4 hours.

I think we can do it?

How much you are able to see and do at MVMCP depends on when you go. Of course the closer to Christmas you go the more crowded it will be. Fridays and Saturdays are nearly almost always sell out crowds. We went early in December and on a Tuesday night. I think that there were longer ride lines at the party then there were during the day. I would say concentrate on the things that are strictly Christmas party attractions.

As for doing all rides, shows and parade and fireworks......not likely. That's why we go 2 nights .

A few words about the

If you want the focus of your party experience to be snow on Main Street, Christmas shows, a nice staked out spot for the parade, pictures, and cookies and hot chocolate you will likely be one of the people who thinks the party is "crowded". Yes, during the party the shows are very popular and there are lots of people in the common areas and on Main Street. I see it as a festive atmosphere and not a "crowd". Generally the parties aren't really crowded at all. Make your way off of Main Street and into the lands away from the shows and you'll find that to be very true.

If you want to make the focus of your MVMCP experience the rides, you will be able to ride to your hearts content with very little in the way of lines. At least that has been our experience. I think the longest line we've ever seen during the party (gone twice a year right after Thanksgiving for the last 3 years) was about 30 minutes at Pooh. Of course not very much later it was down to 15. Seems we just hit it at the wrong time. As for the mountains, they never really have had long lines, especially Splash. The "cold" weather keeps people away. We have never found the rides to be crowded at all and it is nice to ride the rides over and over.

You really can have different experiences depending on what your focus is. Either way we've always had a great time.

I believe that all the Christmas shows can be done........but even that isn't easy.

Last year we got there at 4 and hit POC and Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion and Splash why it was a little warmer...then it was 6PM time for closing and we were escorted to Tommorowland....we hung around and saw some charachters and did the speedway....as soon as the official opening for the party we went straight to fantasyland and did the pictures rode the rides and went to toon town and then back to tommorrowland by that tome the first parade was in full force we sat on space mountain 3 straight times till we decided to get off could have kept going then we hit Buzz and Astro...and went over to BTMRR and stayed on it 3 times....got some cocoa saw a couple of the later shows and got a spot for the Parade and saw the fireworks....We cancelled our day at MK 2 days later because we got to do all we wanted...we only went back for our PS at Crystal Palace for lunch and spent the rest of the day at MGM and we hadnt even planned on MGM that trip......it was great.....this time we are gonna spend the whole day at MK all day then stay for the party....I always feel rushed through MK and wanted this chance to pace myself and see some of atmosphere that i Usually miss...stuff like that
