We are planning a trip in November and if we go then (Thanksgiving weekend) we will just miss this on that Monday, or I was thinking we could do a trip the first week of December (long weekend). Have you gone to the MVMCP, what are the things you liked or disliked and for the price is it something you would go to at least once?

We attended MVMCP last December and had a blast! My kids were 5,7, and 11. We loved the parade, the snow, the castle show, the cookies and hot chocolate. The crowds weren't bad at all. It was fun to see characters in different gear; Donald at his tree lot, Santa at Town Square, etc. The weather was lovely-- much better than Central IL in December. I would love to do it again.

Regardless of your party plans, the crowd level will be much lighter if you go in December than Thanksgiving, but then you probably knew that.

I think there are a number of reviews on last year's mega party thread if you feel like reading 30 or so pages. ( I'd start in the low 20's.)

We went twice in 2003 and twice in 2005. I love MVMCP! I will do it again, someday. Maggie

YES!!! We went twice last December! It was wonderful... I would do it again in a heartbeat!!

We have done it each of the three Christmas seasons we have live in Orlando. It's a "tradition" with DD, myself, my sister and a friend who always visit starting the day after Thanksgiving. Last year my mom was visiting as well. We ate at Concourse, as I waited too late to get ADRs inside the park, but this year I have them for 12/1 at CP! We have usally spent the time seeing shows and riding rides, but for me this year it's about being on the prowl for rare characters!!!!!

We have done the MNSSHP each year too (last year twice) and will do it again this year as well!!!!

....it has to be one of the can't miss things for our family.

We plan our vacation every year between Thanksgiving and Christmas so we can take part in MVMCP and the Candlelight Processional.

These are, and will be, family traditions for us.......so yes, it is worth it!!!

:thumbsup2

yes- I would do it again. It is really a nice event. Lots of that warm, fuzzy feeling floating around!

No. I definitely would not do it again. Well, at least not for a long time. Maybe I'll try it again in like 10+ years. But I wouldn't spend (waste) my money going to it anytime soon.

We went on a weekday evening the 2nd week of December, and I don't think I've ever seen so many people! It was very crowded and hard to get through. Some of the lines for the rides weren't crowded, but just trying to get through the mass of people who were waiting for the parade was awful.

The "snow" was a cute touch, but it really wasn't anything special.

The hot chocolate and cookies were a nice treat, and luckily we went in to get ours while the fireworks were going on, because any other time it was so mobbed.

The parade was cute.

Instead of spending the money for the MVMCP tickets, I would have rather stayed an extra day at WDW.
