MVMCP Dwarves Line Bad Idea?

We're attending the MVMCP on Fri 11/18. I thought it'd be nice to get a family photo with the dwarves, but my hesitation is the kids are only 1 and 4. I assume it's a very boring wait even if we get in line by 6 pm. Should I just forget about the dwarves? Thanks in advance for any advice!

No real life advice yet but we are going to MNSSHP this year and are huge character people. All that said, I've decided against standing in line for the dwarves. We have a 5.5 year old, 2.5 year old and 4 month old and just decided it wouldn't be worth the time in line. I even had planned for my husband and I to swap out with taking them on rides and standing in line but then thought about the time I'd be missing out with them just for one picture with the dwarves.

It's one of the few times you'll get all the dwarves and snow white at the same time.

I would decide as your passing by if the line is worth it for you.

Both valid points and why I kept debating and wondering what to do lol. Oh! I thought it was just the dwarves. I didn't realize you get Snow White too! Would we be able to see the first castle lighting while standing in line?

Have been to a couple of MNSSHP and one MVMCP, always shocking to me how many people wait in that loooong line and it starts forming very early. I've thought about it passing by but just too much to ask for DS (3-5 on our trips) to wait that long. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but you can't really see the bulk of the castle lighting show from the back of the castle. Yes, you can see some, but they don't exactly cover the very back with lights (which frankly I always felt was kind of lame on Disney's part). The focal point is certainly more on the front. Whatever you decide, have a great trip!

We decided last night to skip as well. Too much to ask of the kids over a picture at their ages. I found out the dwarves don't do autographs either, so that's a bummer. Thanks for everyone's input!

We went. Got there about an hour before the meet started and were about 5th group in line. Brought dinner with us and the kids sat and ate while waiting. Then we stalled using toys etc. It worked out and the pic was fabulous. So glad we did it!!!

I have tried at 2 MNSSHP and failed. Due to health issues I can't wait in line long. Somebody said they got success at the end of the evening so I am going to try my luck with the start and end of the night next time! I think the advice is best just keep looking. I think it would be worth it to score snow and the 7 little guys! One day I will get it! Good luck to you and your kids.

I think my kids would be ok if it was just an hour and we're one of the first groups in line. I'm expecting bad lines because we're attending a Friday party. I read somewhere that towards evening the wait time becomes 3 hours. Do they not accept DAS? My sister's handicapped and can't wait long either. She was going to skip it. Hmm ok! I will definitely see how the lines are and not rule it out completely. Thank you!

Good luck to you too! I really hope it works out for you!

No sadly they do not accept the DAS where there is no FP+ mainly. I did ask but it is not possibly because of the way some of the meet and greets pop up and appear. Shame.

Assuming they are in the same place itll be behind the castle so no. Walking around you kind of need to pass them which is why i suggest seeing the line then deciding. You may just need the break at that point

We went to see them twice during MVMCP and Snow White was not part of the group.

The first year, we got into the line about an hour prior to the opening, ate dinner and relaxed. It was great and the group pic was awesome. And we were done early enough to do other party stuff.

The second year, we decided to do princesses for our early line. We were walking around during the fireworks and noticed that the dwarves line was super short (relatively speaking), so we hopped in and waited about 25 minutes. And that included a short break taken by the dwarves.

Good luck with your decision!
