We will be doing mvmcp on December 1st. I'm starting to stalk our dinning options. My plan is to be at the tapstiles by 3:45pm to take advantage of 4pm entry. And go grab dinner from there. I'm thinking Id enjoy a ts restaurant? Any suggestions?

Following! We will be at the party that night as well. I'm thinking we may try a 3:30 reservation at Ohana then head to mk.

In November we did an early 4:30pm adr at BOG for dinner on our mvmcp night. It was perfect! We were able to relax and enjoy the meal before the party without using up any party time. It was such a great night, and we would definitely do it again. We also got to the park around 3:30-3:45 and they were already handing out wristbands at the entrance.

We have done BOG, Liberty Tree and The Plaza.

If you are interested in seeing the characters you need to line up early, so I would try to get something in the 4-4:30 range.

We usually eat a big breakfast and a snack for lunch time, that way we are ready for the earlier dinner.

When we have done the parties, we have always done a late TS breakfast at a resort. Then just had a QS dinner in MK so we didn't spend over an hour of our party time eating.

I like to make ADR's around 4:30p. We get in, get wristbands, eat, then get in line for whichever character we know will be long.

We also have done BOG, our ADR was for 4 pm. (They opened the turnstiles at 3:45).
It was great!
We weren't "wasting" party time, we got to eat dinner in the castle (which we LOVED) and it got us all the way back in Fantasyland for our 5pm FP for 7DMT.
Win win!
Edited to add...
I find that by getting a hard to obtain ADR for party night, we miss the busiest part of the day at MK (between 4 and 7 pm when both day guests and party guests are there) and are still able to make 3 FPs. (3:30, 4:30, and 5:30pm) to get those 3 important (to us) attractions. When we finish our dinner it's time to go to our last 2 FPs, and then focus on party stuff.

WE have had dinner at LTT and BOG before the party. WE have also just had CS at CHH and enjoyed that too.

Years ago we went to a Princess and Pirates Party, and the gates did not open until 7. WE had an early dinner at Kona which was nice too.

That actually sounds like an AWESOME idea!

I was wondering about how to space fast passes as well! I think I'll definitely schedule them in the sequence time you suggested! It makes allot of sense to do them that way!

Just don't do LTT--the service was so slow (2.5 hours!) What a disaster. I have decided that if we do MVMCP again we will eat pre-party, as the other posters suggested, or just do CS.

Have fun, OP! The parade is so cute!

this is my plan - early BoG entry time (I have parkhoppers and we are going to AK in the morning so I don't care so much about feeling like I am wasting early entry time).

In november we Gone at Crystal palace but the Buffet Was meh. If i return i Will Go for counter service

My plan is to have an early dinner at BOG as well (We plan to go Dec 8)! Fingers crossed to getting the BOG ressie!

Last MVMCP we had an ADR for Tony's and it work out wonderfully for us. We got a reservation that made sure we would be there during the Light Parade and so were able to stand on the front parch of Tony's to watch that and then go back sit down and enjoy dinner while the mass crowds exited and entered the park.

Food was great, location is convenient because of the parade and easy to get to. I will do the exact same next time I am at the MVMCP.

I didn't think they ran the MSEP during the christmas parties? Just the party specific parades.

You are correct, I didn't think about that. It was a couple years back, the parade we watched from the porch was the Parade they do for the Christmas Party (I can now remember the kids being excited to see Santa at the end of it). I am glad you brought that up, my apologies. The view was still GREAT and we were not in a huge group of people all cramming together. We could see the "snow" coming down from the roofs still, and the CMs still interacted with the Kids. It was great!

Thanks for that tip -- we were thinking of doing LTT for an early dinner on the party night, but would hate to waste that kind of time! Switching to lunch instead.

My plan is to eat a big lunch around 3pm, most likely Ohana or Whispering Canyon, so we can be in the parks about 4 to make use of fast passes between 4 and 7. If we get hungry later we'll do a QS so we don't waste much party time.
