ETA -- Turns out the wdwinfo link had some bad info. Still 4 parties that week.
Wow, I couldn't believe it.
The 3 weeks in between Thanksgiving and Christmas are some the best weeks to attend WDW. In fact, the website **************.net ranks those 3 weeks as the best 3 weeks in the whole year to visit. They say, "this site recommends arriving at Walt Disney World one of the first three Saturdays after Thanksgiving."
For the first time ever, Disney now has MVMCP 5 of the 6 nights between Sunday, December 13th and Friday, December 18th. So those guests visiting Saturday 12/12 to Saturday 12/19 and not going to the park on their arrival day only get 1 chance to watch fireworks in the Magic Kingdom without buying additional MVMCP tickets.
We are one of those families going that week. We plan on buying MVMCP tickets for 1 night, but still, getting just 2 nights at the Magic Kingdom out of 6, instead of the expected 3 nights, is disappointing. I wish they would have kept the usual 4 MVMCP nights out of 6 max per week.
ETA: It appears UndercoverTourist has a 2015 date list out that does not include the 5th night. Anyone know who is right? UT or wdwinfo?
UT says, "The full dates for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2015 are:
