MVMCP 2016

I know it's early and that dates/days for MVMCP have not yet been posted for 2016. But, we are booked at the Poly for December 9-14th, so I'm sure it will be happening at least a few of those nights.

We've never attended one of the holiday parties (Halloween or Christmas). I'm interested in learning more about the MVMCP so we can decide if it's something our family wants to do. What does it entail? How is it different than a regular evening at the MK? Would it be something our DS, who will be 4 by then, might enjoy? Or is it more for older children and adults?
