If I have say 50 or 75 points at multiple resorts can I make a reservation at one of them and then pool all the points from the multiple contracts for that year to use for bigger room or longer stay.

Trying to see the use of having multiple small add ons unless you just plan on staying a few days.

Course I am not sure how it works with the points from multiple contracts.

Appreciate any info.

If you want to make a reservation in the 11-month window, only "home resort" points can be used. So if you want to book BCV from 11 months to 7 months plus one day from check in, you need enough BCV points to pay for that reservation. If you owned points at both BCV and AKV, you could not use AKV points to book BCV (or BCV points to book AKV) in the "home resort" window. Once you are within 7 months of check in, you can use any points to book any resort, so for example you could pool your BCV and AKV points and book BLT, subject to availability.

What many members do with multiple small contracts is use banking and/or borrowing to accumulate enough points to stay at a particular resort every other year or every third year. For example, a 100-pt contract at VWL could be used to book a 7-night stay in a 1BR during early December (a 200 pt reservation) at the 11 month window every other year.

Multiple contracts with the same use year and home resort function exactly like one larger contract of equal points. They can be combined at 11 months or any point thereafter. Contracts with different home resorts, however, cannot be combined until 7 months before check-in. The advantage of multiple contracts at the same resort is for resale or inheritance purposes. The advantage of multiple contracts at different resorts is to obtain the 11 month booking window at each resort.

But, if you have added on resales with different UYs, they will be separate master contracts. You cannot combine points for a single night from two or more different master contracts. You can transfer points from one to another to use them for a single night, but you are limited to one transfer per UY per master contract.

So if you have a Dec OKW and a Sep OKW contract (two master contracts), you can't combine the points from the two to make a single night at 11 months without transferring from one to the other.

You can transfers points from one contract to another contract of yours.

From one master to another master and I will never do it again.

MS and their wonderful computers screwed our accounts up so badly that it caused us to loose a reservation at AKV Concierge. :sad2:
