Muster Station I on the Wish

When my muster station has been in a theater, there have been a few rows for each muster group, and guests just kept filling in the rows for their assigned group (as directed by cast members) as they arrived in the theater.

When my muster is in the theater, I tend to wait a few minutes for the crowd to trickle in and try and get seated toward the back, if possible. Less time in there and less of a crush of people on the way out.

Same. Don’t want to be trapped in the front!

While I, on the other hand, like to be early to get seats in front where I can more easily hear/see what's going on. Of course, we tend to remain in our seats when it's over, allowing all the "must get out" people to go first.

Ya, this will probably be my game plan too. Wait till a few minutes after the time to head down to the theater? Or a few minutes before?

I have heard the muster drill speech so many times I could recite it. “In the unlikely event of an actual emergency”. I like to be toward the exit and out asap because the stairs get blocked by everyone waiting for the elevator - I hate being trapped in a non moving huge crowd of people. That is how people get sick on cruises - and your whole cruise can be ruined.

There are four muster stations in the theater... two on main floor and two on balcony. Ours only used the rear of the main floor, and there were some standing in the isles by the time we started. I'd get there in time to get a seat.

Mine is in the balcony. So is that good or not?

Few minutes before-don't want to be "that" family. Make sure we are on time, but let the crush of people in. Or PrincessShmoo tactic of first in, sit, relax and let everyone leave and then go. Either works to avoid the huge crush at the end.

“That” family has turned into a horde of “that” families. So many people don’t show up until well after muster has started. We always show up right on time and then still have to wait - sometimes 30 minutes for others to finally show up. We never show up early anymore.

agreed-not early, but certainly on time.
